Dear wet mama, finding a stranger for a threeway is a safe and smart choice - it lessens chances of awkward greatly. On the other hand, you trust a stranger much less you would trust someone you are priorly acquainted with, so... tough call.
Anyway, I've heard plenty of stories about finding a third on classical dating services, like Tinder, for example. Creating a profile and clearly stating what are you looking for might be a way to go.

Word of advice, don’t have over expectations and constantly communicate with each other. It’s just like dating before you met your SO. Set boundaries before and talk after. We don’t play with anyone that lives in the same town as us. We have one couple that have known for years and we go on weekend trips with two or three times a years. The sex is amazing leading up to, during and after.
Honestly I’d rather watch my husband with someone I trust than fear him cheering with a stranger and If your over 40 and not playing your missing out. Good luck and be safe.

Dear wet mama, it would be wonderful if you'd keep us posted - a successful threesome experience is always a fun experience, and finding a partner is always a challenge. It could be a nice piece of info for our contributors to have.
