Personally, I hate Cosmo. I think it's really sexist, privileges male pleasure over female pleasure, has very stupid ideas about how to "solve" relationship problems, and even treats men like idiots driven by egos who can't handle the truth. I read one article in it that suggested that instead of just telling your male partner you want to do something different, because it could crush his ego, tell him about a dream you had that might hint that you want something. WHAT? Just communicate!! This kind of stupid advice drives me nuts and will never help heterosexual women having trouble orgasming or who are bored with their sex lives. And unfortunately, that's a pretty serious reality even in 2013. I know many women who say they are satisfied with only having an orgasm every few times they have sex, or even not at all, which to me is terrible (makes me wanna show them good sex ).
I've heard complaints about how it isn't queer friendly, which I get because I'm queer, but I feel like having a magazine that addresses hetero and queer women's needs would be a little complicated and it's better that queer women just have our own magazines.
What do you guys think of Cosmo? Or even other sex magazines targeted at hetero women?
