What I am wondering is do you feel more pleasure from sex with your partner after having a conversation with them where you allowed yourself to be vulnerable and seen for who you are on a deeper level? I'm not talking about couple who fight and then have that energy come out in their sex, but rather the days where you uncover yourselves to be known.

YES! I also feel more pleasure if HE was the one who allowed himself to be vulnerable. In fact, that just happened yesterday. I really can't contain myself when he's made himself vulnerable to me - it's an amazing feeling, feeling so much closer to the person you love.

I have a hunch that this is a common experience, something that could feel wounding act as as glue for connecting to our partners in a deeper way. Has a way of feeling like your partner is in the relationship with you, together as a team through thick and thin I wonder why it can be hard at times for people to see that connection, obvious explanations of family history or fear aside.

As an added question, do those kinds of talks make you more giving as a lover to your partners? Receptive to sex, for sure, as like everyone's saying it builds intimacy and closeness, but does it also change how you have sex with your partners and what you do with them?
