Too much foreplay?

Those who don't get enough, want more. And those who have too much want less.
There is no pleasing us women.
There is no pleasing us women.

as a male, i love foreplay

My Man and I don't use the word "foreplay." It implies that stimulating the female's needs is secondary to the "Big Event" (evidently that is Penis in vagina sex.)
I've outlined the way we (and many other people) have sex before. We go back and forth between oral sex, toy play, touching, more oral sex, more PIV, rubbing, teasing, more oral sex, (usually some orgasms for me, then) more PIV, more oral, more PIV and maybe some anal. For instance this morning, I was taking a long time to come. "Sex" wasn't over as soon as he came. We then had more oral sex, then some more toy play and some anal play and more oral play with toys, and finally I came.
The word "foreplay" seems to me to imply that it is humoring the woman (assuming you're talking about a hetero relationship) until they get down to PIV.
We do anything and everything in any order, and then go back and do more of things we already did. So, it's common, usual in fact, for oral sex to follow PIV and orgasm for either or both of us. The whole thing, from the first touch or the first look is "sex." Nothing is "before" or "after" as HIS orgasm isn't the foremost thing in our sex play and sex doesn't necessarily end as soon as he comes. It ends when we're either both exhausted or chaffed. Orgasms happen at any time during the act.
So, I can't really answer the question.

I love when foreplay last a long time. I like to do foreplay, then have sex, and then go back to foreplay, but finish with sex.
03/17/2012
I mean, if foreplay was several hours long, yes, but a reasonable "extended" foreplay, is never a problem for me. The more worked up we are, the better the sex. :]
03/17/2012
Can't get enough foreplay here
03/17/2012
Sometimes you can spend too much time on foreplay.
03/17/2012
No. I want more!
03/17/2012
I think there is too much foreplay. I prefer a little play and then lots of sex.
03/17/2012
I love lots of foreplay, but I'll let my husband know when I'm ready for the actual thing.
03/17/2012
My guy is bigger on foreplay then I am. He could eat me for hours if I let him! But... I like more sex then foreplay.
03/17/2012
I can't get enough!
03/17/2012
For me I love long foreplay - enough so that my wife will often tell to 'move on'.
03/17/2012
Our foreplay sessions last different amounts of time. It depends on our mood, how much wine we have had, and whether it's a full moon or a new moon, ha! We just have a feel for when it's time for something else.
03/17/2012
There's never too much.
03/17/2012
I always like the foreplay. No issue with it.

Yes! Exactly this. I don't privilege PIV sex as the main event, and sometimes PIV sex is "foreplay" for oral or for manual play. The "main event" is everything from the first touch to the last, in my book.

Depends on my mood, and MOSTLY if we have "other things to do". Lazy day, when we can stay in bed and play...heck, GO for an hour "big boy". Other times, if it is a quicky, FORGET the "foreplay".. .pick a hole (I'm proudly a "three holes, no waiting" gal...five if you count a boob or hand job!!!) and GO FOR IT. I am going to Cum either way, and so let's just make it happen!!!!

Never too much in my opinion.
03/18/2012
Sometimes I know we do not have as much time as I would like to have, so foreplay needs to be cut short to make sure we have time to "finish"

Thank you. I don't understand trying to differentiate between "foreplay" and "sex." Isn't all sexual play "sex?" And is for some people "sex" only PIV?

I don't get this kind of paternalistic type thinking. If you and someone else are touching your or someone's elses sexual organs and you're enjoying it, it's "sex"!

Eventually I or my partner get too worked up to continue with foreplay, I think...

I've never complained about getting to much foreplay, but sometimes I do "just want it now", but usually I have to beg him for some foreplay.
