Period Sex - No big deal, or a big no thank you?

Apollo and I were enjoying a rare get-together with friends of ours - two other couples - whom we have known for some time. One of the men was flirting with his girlfriend and making suggestive comments, to which she replied, "You know I won't on my period...Period." He stated that it didn't bother him, and she replied, saying she had just always found the idea gross.
The other couple mentioned they just did it in the shower or took a shower immediately, if they had sex while she was menstruating. We chimed in, saying it didn't bother us and we just showered after, but that we could see why people would be averse to the idea.

This got us to wondering: How common is it for people to avoid sex with someone on their period, and if there was any big difference in opinion between males and females.

So, what do you think? Is this something that bothers you, or is it no big deal?

I voted that it doesn't bother me and I believe that is true but since I'm of the age that none of my partners for the last 16+ years have periods or not anymore anyway. Who knows.

My very first experience was a surprise to me and to my then GF. She wasn't feeling well and I suggested that her having an orgasm would perhaps help. So I went down on her and sure thing she did have a very nice orgasm. However, when I raised my head she got a rather horrified look on her face and imediately began appologising. Turns out her orgasm triggered her flow and I had her blood on my face. No I did not drink her flow but I guess I did earn my "Red Wings" that day, LOL. And as long as she as well as other GF's and wives over the years were willing to have PIV during their period, I had no issues with giving them as many orgasms as I could.

No issues with it at all. I figure if I can walk thru mud I can screw thru blood.

I met a woman online, and we had been talking for months, but had not been able to meet up. We finally set up a weekend to spend together, and she was so frustrated that she had just started, because she assumed I would have an issue with it, but I didn't. Clitoral stimulation with my fingers and intercourse worked just fine for our first intimate moment.

My ex would always want to, but not until that one of her period hit her when she would get super aroused, and because she was so worked up on that day, she never wanted to miss it.

My current wife was not a fan. It's not an issue now, since she had a pretty terrible miscarriage, and she had to have surgery to save her life, but up to that point, she would rather perform oral on me during that time. I would tell her that I could either wait, or find ways to pleasure her that didn't involve intercourse, but she insisted.

Not a problem for us! As long as she is in the mood and it's not a super heavy flow. Sometimes will wear a condom if it is a bit heavier flow, but usually her 'wetness' tends to replace the blood during the sex.
