Period sex

I’ve noticed that sometimes I am extremely horny and have a desperate desire for wild passionate sex. But other days my libido is so low, and whatever I do, there is no sex drive at all, and I hate even the lightest brushes against my skin.

So I’m guessing, may these mood swings be connected to my menstrual cycle and hormones bursts? And is it safe to have sex when I’m on my period? Never thought about it before, now I’m in a serious relationship and wondering...

Mood swings and libido changes are pretty common during your period, nothing to worry about there.
Sex is definitely safe during your period! Some men are uncomfortable with sex during a period but if your man is willing, have fun! My husband and I have a towel we keep just for period sex. I would highly advise laying something between you and the sheets, it can get a little messy.

My menstruation is pretty painful almost every time, and I don't really want to have sex during the period. Besides, I feel uncomfortable and awkward about all the mess . So I've never tried period sex. But as far as I know, if you are not confused by bleeding, sexual activity at this time is quite safe, may help to relieve menstrual pain and can be super exciting!

And libido changes because of hormones bursts, it's true. I have similar feelings during my cycle. My sex drive hits the stratosphere upon the ovulation, but when the time comes to the period, even a hint of sex is irritating.

Generally my wife has been opposed to sex during her period - to the extent that it can be uncomfortable during heavy days I completely get it.

But on lighter days it's been a mental hurdle for her - even though she admits that orgasms actually assists in completing the blood flow and elevating her mood.

There are many types of intimacy like oral and anal that have no impact on menstruation. As far as vaginal is concerned we have glass, steel and silicone toys that are easy to clean. Although some use condoms, I don't and have never had a UTI or other complication as a result.

Bottom line - if you are feeling like sex on your period, go for it. Obviously communicating what works with your partner will be useful.

I earned my "Red Wings" many many years ago, so any time a partner is ready and willing to play, so am I.

My GF and I rarely see each other, and we don't want anything getting in the way to our so infrequent and so valued pleasure. I'm absolutely comfortable to have sex during her period as well as she is. Usually, we do it in the shower to avoid unneseccary mess

Isn't there a risk to get some infections with blood on your penis guys? And is it okay for you to have somebody's blood on your cock?

There may be some risks - but you take a risk when you get in your car to go to work every day. 45k people a year die in auto accidents - do we not drive? Off course not, we blithely take the risk.

Unless you have a compromised immune system, the minor risk of an easily curable UTI is easily worth the price of admission.
