Those words are so damn true, and most people (guys specifically) seem to overlook it. It is funny because the guys that brag aren't packing anything. The guys that are, know that its not always great to be that big. And what I mean is the guys that tell you how big they are and how girls love it have usually never had a girl turn you down because they think your going to hurt them without lube or being super turned on. I have some lady friends who have told me its great to be pounded by a big guy but thats only every once in a while. Interesting that the average on this site is almost a full inch above the normal average.
Personally I'm about 5.25" around for the first third of my length, then gradually increases to at least 5.5" near the base. So I chose 5.5 as it was the closest to mine overall.
