When I first watched 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' in high school it had a dramatic effect on my outlook on sexuality. For those of you who aren't familiar with the movie, it's theme is essentially that sex is a good thing and should be explored, adored, and out in the open. It carries this message ostensibly through a veneer of fishnet thigh highs, synchronized dancing, and sweet transvestites from Transylvania. This movie really helped me feel alright about my own sex life and less guilty about things that were thought of as dirty in a conservative home, like masturbation. Has anyone else been effected by this movie? Have other movies, music, or bits of culture helped you in your own sex life? Please share.
Love Rocky Horror?

I am a HUGE fan! I love this movie and I think a lot of movies have influenced my sexuality. Have you seen Secretary with Maggie Gylenhall? Amazing way to present a BDSM relationship : )

Not for me, sorry...

I couldn't say if it had an effect on my sexuality, but I used to go to monthly midnight screenings.
The hour-long drive got to be too much, though.

I love this movie. I have always wanted to go when they show it in theaters and people dress up for it. Not sure it had much of an effect on my sexuality, as I've always been very open-minded.

I don't think Rocky Horror influenced my sexuality at all, but I did enjoy the film.

I like the film, but I don't think that it's been very influential on my sexuality.

I don't think the film itself had any effect on my sexuality, I think it was going to the live shadowcasts that did it for me. It helped me feel comfortable with everything about myself, not just my sexuality.
I mean, it obviously had some effect on me because I got Frank N Furter's tattoo on my arm.

I wouldn't say that Rocky Horror influenced me at all, but it is one of my favorite films.

I love the movie. My take on sexuality has always been...interesting. I honestly have no idea if RHPS had anything to do with it though.

For me rocky Horror was just the first naughty movie I saw where it said it was okay to be naughty. I was wondering if other people had similar reactions to this movie or other movies...

First, love Rocky Horror. second, idk why but this sort of made me think of the first time I saw As Good As It Gets. Helen Hunt's character has this one line that's always stuck "it was better than sex; we held each other." I think of that every time my boyfriend and I fall asleep together after we have sex. The sex is awesome, but being able to hold someone right after and know they love you is even better.

Not exactly what your post was about, but that's where it lead me.

I like it , but don't like the ending, and would rather watch it at home than at one of those things.
