I was lucky, I knew I wanted to wait until I at least knew I wouldn't regret the person. I was almost 18 and he was a college boy and it may not have been the longest relationship but I still have no regrets.

As a guy, I didn't feel there was anything to loose - it was all about gaining experience.

I just think a lot of people lose it when they are to young, and aren't really emotionally mature enough.

I was comfortable with the guy, so I'd say it was a good experience.

It was a good experience for me as my girlfriend at the time was not a virgin and I was very comfortable with her.

I was ready for sex, so I do not regret it. I lost my virginity to a person I had been with for a year already and thought I would be with for much longer...I was wrong and he was the wrong person, so in hindsight, I wish it hadn't been with someone I now loathe, but that's how it goes sometimes I suppose!

The experience was fine. I wasn't in a relationship with the guy and had actually just met him in person that same day lol(we had been talking on MySpace for a lil while.) I knew it wasn't going to end up in a relationship, but I didn't care and actually preferred it that way. I just wanted to lose my V-card lol. The sex was meh, but I don't regret it at all. Me and the guy kept hanging out after, but never had sex again and we actually still talk sometimes. (:

Aside from the virginity myth thing being harmful and kind of... stupid. It's neither, and entirely dependent on the situation.
As long as it's consensual and informed, it's "good". If it's not, then it wasn't the "losing your virginity" that was "bad", it was the fact that it wasn't what you wanted.

Mine was kinda meh, but it could have been worse, for sure No real complaints. Just a couple teenagers who had no idea what they were doing

Losing it was pretty neutral, but it's gotten better with time

Females should feel the same way. The concept of "losing" something is bullshit, no one is taking anything away, both sides are, as you say, "gaining experience"!

Personally I only see "losing your virginity" as negative if you view it as negative, or if someone forced it on you. I'd say it's positive, if you view it as a good experience.

I was 17 when I lost my virginity. The sex was ok. I don't have any regrets but sometimes I think back and wish that I atleast lost it to someone worth losing it to.

ha it took me 4 times to lose my virginity. I was a sissy and it hurt too much. I was plenty old enough because it was 2 weeks before I turned 21. I only stayed with that guy for 4 months but he made me feel safe and loved so I don't regret it at all.
