Intimacy is beyond sex

Have you noticed that sometimes just spending time together, hugging, kissing, good conversation or just cuddling nude sleeping could be just as good, if not replace physical sex in some occasions?

Yes I have experienced this on many occasions. I know you didn't mention orgasms, but I have had some of my strongest orgasms with clothes on, no penetration or even touching around my clit. Its amazing because I am aroused ALL over my body.

But back to your original topic lol. I NEED cuddle time, its super important to me and love it that on some days it could replace love making.

That's what I miss the most ... closeness, holding, affection, a Knowing that you're loved. Especially being loved.

I consider all of that necessary to a romantic relationship, before sex even starts. It could never replace sex for me, but without it, I wouldn't want sex. It's all part of trusting someone and being close to them.

Honestly, it could come really close to replacing sex for me. For me sex is a very intimate act that neither I or my fiance take lightly, but the small things like cuddling and bigger things like talking (because what good is a relationship if you can't even talk to each other) definitely take a higher priority to the sex.

Eh. It's good...but it couldn't replace. Blue balls are NOT fun, funny, or anything like that. It's a horrible condition that (I think) causes severe long term side effects.

All that stuff is fun, but sex isn't something to be avoided if both people are ready for it and do it responsibly. Also, my personal belief system doesn't exclude sex for religious reasons.

I need both. Though sex usually accompanies affection, cuddling without sex is no substitute.

Absolutely. Sometimes it's more important to connect on that level, to me.

I completely agree with Elodie. Speaking from coming out of a 10 yr sexless marriage to a relationship with sex that blows your mind. The "intimacy" has to be present....and it doesn't hurt that he cooks and cleans too.

Intimancy is so important to myself and my wife. To me a quick peck om the lips while I prepare dinner or a kiss to the nape of my wifes neck while she is doing a chore. Just holding hands while we are walking. There are so many ways to be affectionate without being extremely sexual.....

We're all about the hand holding and the quick little kisses while we're out or doing chores or whatever. It makes us feel really close and connected. I love it
