Health benefits of sex toys - have you experienced them?

Contributor: CrazyMike CrazyMike
Soooooo a bit of conspiracy theorist here. I always thought that those things they say about “sex toys having so dang many health benefits” are kind of marketing bullcrap. I mean, we all know sex is good for you - duh - but sex toys per se - marketing trick. Boy was I wrong.

I’m a big guy, and a lot of my health issues are related to my weight. Particularly I had some heart problems. And I was ready to live with them, to treat them, to kinda just deal with them.

A year ago I bought my first masturbator - it seemed like a fun idea, and my wife, who is often called out of home for business, suggested this elegant solution. A simply silicone pocket pussy was my first choice - I honestly thought I was wasting my money. And when the wife said it might help my health, I grew even more skeptical.

As you might have guessed, I’m writing this post because something convinced me otherwise. Two weeks ago I came home from my doctor’s appointment IN SHOCK - nope, no miracles, the big body was still there, as well as heart problems, but they’ve significantly decreased. My heart rate became steadier (although I was sure it’s gonna work the other way around), my tachycardia got way better. And my doctor kept telling me what a champion I am for clearly improving my lifestyle. As you can imagine, I was sitting there, red as a tomato, thinking of all the time I’ve been “improving my lifestyle” with all those little toys I have now.

BTW I’m sure it’s because of toys. I guess my simple masturbation wasn’t… vigorous enough? And my sex life remained the same throughout the last year. No other changes in my way of life. It’s gotta be the pocket pussy. I’m wowed.

So I'm writing this guessing - am I the only fool around here who got that lucky? Some other little health miracles because of sex toys around here? Would absolutely love to hear I’m not crazy.

My take on this is a little different. IMO having frequent and satisfying sex has many health benefits. There are countless articles about oxytocin and other hormone releases that improve both mental and heart health.

As I age and my capacity for repeat sexual encounters has diminished (due to the extended post orgasm refractory period). I use the sex toys to keep things going for my wife - who ironically has seen sex her sex drive skyrocket.

It brings me great pleasure to give my wife multiple and often gushing orgasms. And sometimes along the way I can achieve a stronger erection and take over for the toys - she loves it when that happens, but she's understanding that when it does great - but when it doesn't she can bask in her afterglow.

Being sexually active has a lot of mental and physical benefits, and I think no matter if you have sex with a person or using sex toys for pleasure. During sex the level of various hormones and antibody raises, the flow of blood and nutritions increases also, which have a positive influence on the immune system, help to lower blood pressure and risk of heart stroke, relieve pain and stress. So it's no? surprising that your health has been improved. And I am very happy for you!

I guess it makes sense to expand your horizons a little and get a few more sex toys for maintaining a positive trend in your well-being

I pledge to sex toys being a cure to many things! Extra sensitivity was my problem, for example. Premature orgasming - yup, not as fun as it sounds, Not being able to savor the session with your partner can be quite frustrating, especially if you become sore after exploding a few times in just a couple of minutes. Training with sex toys helped - A LOT. I learned to pace myself, to relish each motion without panicking that I'm gonna ruin the moment.

Thank you, vibration!

I know - don't you wish you were a 1920's vintage doctor coming home to his wife after a hard day of giving the neighborhood women their weekly orgasm!
