Foreplay training??

Contributor: TheSexyLife TheSexyLife
Any suggestions for easing a partners nervous and shyness in bed? Foreplay is seriously lacking on their end. I have brought toys, games, a swing, and lots of lingerie. I'm not sure what else to do. I don't want to embarrass them.

Try showing some porn that depicts the kind of foreplay that interests you.

I would say talking helps. Toys, games, etc. may seem a bit intimidating for a shy partner, and opening them up is a job for you, not for dildos and swings. I know how frustrating it might be, but it isn't easy on them, either.

An open conversation is always the best place to start. Pron, as Gunsmoke suggested, might also be a good, but only if your partner is into that. Otherwise, it can push them even deeper in their shell.

Erotic scenes in non-porn movies, however, are a way to go. For example, the clay scene from the movie "Ghost" - seems like non-sexual at all. but it's supercharged with heavy foreplay vibes. Or the food scene from "9½ Weeks" - ooh, that ish is steaming hot, and might just be what your partner needs to get in the mood. Sharing this kind of content might get them on track with what you are trying to advocate, thus bringing them closer to the idea of embracing a conversation.

Best of luck!
