My husband is very interested in it and we've tried it a few times. It's okay until he tries to go past his knuckles, and then it is too painful. Now that I've read it's normal and it eases off I might wince through it next time.

I thought I might not be able to be fisted as I suffered a hip injury several years ago. When I first began exploring being fisted vaginally by a female partner with medium hands, she could only get all fingers to the knuckles in and I would experience some shooting pain in my hip.

We took it slow with lots of lube and surprisingly it was a male partner with large hands that was first able to fist me. The pain to the hip doesn't occur anymore and fisting is great fun.

I have never tried anal fisting as the fister or fistee and not sure if I will. But for anyone who is curious but thinks maybe not them or maybe their partner's hand is to big, I say you never know until you try....

... several times. As with all anal play, it's best not to put too many expectations on the first time. "Gritting your teeth and going through with it because you promised you'd try it once" is a bad thing. Go slow, loosen up at your rate, and enjoy it (or at least avoid doing any damage).

I've done this once or twice, and while it takes a lot of time and relaxation to achieve such a large amount of penetration, once it happens it is pretty fantastic in some ways. However, being fisted is not a gentle experience for me, it's VERY, VERY, VERY intense for me. The kind of experience that has you screaming from the get-go, and the kind of experience that I can't handle for a long period of time. I recommend trying it out, but I think you'll find that it's a lot to handle. A little bit goes a long way!

Master and I are still working on it. I've been successfully fisted by women before, and have fisted them as well. However, His hands are quite large, and I am quite small. I'm wondering if we'll even be able to do it. I cried the first few times we tried.

ScottA, I agree. It was probably on about the 5th session of attempted fisting (to my comfort level and stopping) before a fist actually made it's way entirely inside me. We took it as slow as I needed it to be to work up to that point.

I would say my feelings of discomfort during the initial attempts were a) some shooting pains to my hip that occurred probably the first four times and not after and b) a burning sensation when the fist reached its fullest point again during the first few initial attempts.

Good article, yes, but I think that it still tends to focus a lot on men and porn. If I was a woman that was unsure about fisting in the first place that article would not reassure me.

I learned about fisting before I ever spent a lot of time thinking about it. It was an incredibly hot sexual experience, and since then I just wanted MORE.

My husband is very interested in fisting me. I've warmed up to the idea after watching it in porn videos, but with some anxiety. We've tried it a few times, but with no success of complete penetration. He has large hands, and I can't seem to get past the pain, or worse, the fear of being "stretched-out forever". I have never had a vaginal birth (2 c-sections), and being in my early 40's I'm afraid of damaging the elasticity of my vaginal walls, since natural resiliency declines with age anyhow. I don't want to ruin wonderful sex in the future, since we still enjoy a great "fit". I know he would be pleased, as I'm sure I would be too, but not the trade off. Fisting, or penetration with large dildos will not cause the vagina to become permanently loose. It will just help the vagina to become more flexible and elastic.
