I think it's weird when people try to control when their partner masturbates or tell them they can't unless it was a mutually agreed upon arrangement. Sometimes you don't want the real thing, you want a fantasy and your hand, and that's perfectly cool. I can't imagine someone telling me what I can and cannot do to my own body, so why on earth would I tell him what he can and cannot do to his? I am all for masterbation, for myself and my partner. I think it is healthy and a great way to be sexually satisfied. And as long as it doesnt effect our sexual relationship, then go to town.
