Who knows about ejaculation control & sexual continence?

Contributor: sexfairy sexfairy
As a tantrika it took me many years before getting a partner who truly practices sexual continence and I use to think it was very rare, even almost like a myth. Now that I had lots of experience with tantric men, becoming more familiar with it and knowing that it is very real and not a myth, I am just curious to see who around here is familiar with tantric practices for men, regarding sexual continence and ejaculation control. Sexual continence is a term used when a man doesn't ejaculate. It implies a training in which a man comes to the point of separating orgasm and ejaculation, therefore having orgasmic pleasure without ejaculating.

If as a man you practice sexual continence it would be awsome if you could share your experience below

Ejaculation control just works on denial, right? When a guy feels himself getting close to climax he finds a way to calm himself down to save the climax for another time.

Sounds like the separating part takes more mental capacity. I know about historical references to tantra but haven't heard of anyone using it as a way of life.

What you describe is a popular Femdom scenario called 'Edging' - often coupled with men's chastity devices. With or without the chastity device, Edging is simply being brought to the brink of orgasm - either through masturbation or partner play - but stopping just short of the climax.

I'm not into tantric practices - maybe they have a different motivation - but in the Femdom world it's mostly about humiliation and spoiled orgasms.

Not my thing - but since I rarely orgasm anymore, I know how frustrating the practice can be.

I only have experience with my hubby edging himself so he can last longer with me. It wasn't done in any play scenario.

My Femdom side, however, loves the idea of ruined O's being dealt out to a man...hmmm another topic for another thread.

I also Edge fairly often - if the timing is right, when I do orgasm it will be a bit stronger than usual.

As for ruined orgasms - my wife use to do it and not even know that she was. When she was younger and giving a BJ or HJ - she would stop at the point of ejaculation! It was maddening for sure!

It might seem like this at the beginning of the practice, when men start to "train" their brain to experience orgasm differently, but the practice goes much further. It varies for each men but the training period can take more or less up to six months during which men try to not ejaculate at all while flirting with climax. Once the brain is trained the orgasm starts to manifest without ejaculation. Very strong full body orgasms, so it is very rewarding and pays off. Just need a little patience and lots of will power

The main motivation for tantrics is to keep their life force while expanding pleasure for the tantric practices. Once trained the brain will start triggering an orgasmic response in very strong, intense full body orgasms. It is therefore not about spoiling the orgasm but rather amplify them and bring the man to experience it in different ways.

So in the tantric realm it has nothing to do with humiliation. The will to train is a conscious choice and comes from the man.

What exactly is 'life force'? Are you suggesting that ejaculation deprives me a 'life force'?

According to traditional tantra yoga, sexual energy is life force which is materialised into sperm (for men), which is also called "ojas". It is too big of a subject to explain everything here but if you are curious look it up. It is important to have a practice in order to move or sublime energy if you intend to start practicing (or start an ejaculation control training) as a man. Tantrics basé a lot of their practices on polarity and this practice nourishes polarity in a very efficient way.

So not ejaculating preserves a man's "life force". How does a woman retain her 'life force'?

Biologically unused sperm and ejaculate are simply reabsorbed my the body. There is no capacity for endless storage - so I wonder where tantric 'continence' practitioners think the unused ejaculate goes?

Exactly, it is reabsorbed by the body, instead of being lost. For women it is in menstrual blood (mostly) and some other fluids, which does not include female ejaculation.

Since women can't retain menstrual blood - how do they retain their life force?

Is it ok for a woman to ejaculate?

If it is indeed difficult for women to have total control of their menstruations, there are different practices to considerably reduce the blood loss. Some yoga assanas to sublime energy are good to do. Also avoid the intake of protein during the periods can help a lot.

Yes women can ejaculate without loosing ojas

Thanks for your thoughtful explanations. But if the theory is that women can ejaculate but men should not - I'm sorry that's just too contradictory for words.

Best of luck...

To come to such a conclusion is very limiting.
Ejaculation is just a word defined by the expulsion of liquid, not by its content (as I am sure you are aware of, women don't ejaculate sperm)

Tantra is a very ancient and powerful practice, way beyond description or explanations. It changed my life and the life of many around me. It is a gift to be unwrapped through direct experience, not only through words, theories or definitions. Anything less than that is not even close to giving it justice.

I am not the one you should be apologizing or wishing luck to. I am sharing about it from my own experience, from the heart and freely for anyone that might be inspired. I have no need to be right, no hidden agenda and I expect nothing in return.

Every one has different needs and rhythm. If you are not called or inspired by the practice that is totally ok. Just be honest with yourself and don't blame it on words nor the meaning you give them.
