Do you like the TV on while you're having sex?

My boyfriend likes to have it on for the light. I find the TV to be distracting and would much rather just a candle.

I am sort of like him, because I do like to have some light. If it's the TV muted or the closet with the door mostly shut, it doesn't matter. I just prefer to not be in total darkness. Candles are nice, but we honestly never use them. Once or twice a month we will watch porn together, so the TV is understandably on for that.

It used to not bother me, but one time i was watching House and a character was hallucinating, seeing bugs...yeah, ruined the mood.

With my current mate, we never do that. But with one of my ex's he would leave it on sometimes.. never bothered me.

No. I'm not very picky about very many things... but if you want a light, turn on a light (or a candle or lamp, like you say). If you want to watch a tv show, go ahead and watch a tv show, but I'll be in the other room having orgasms. I think having a tv on when you should be focusing your attention on your partner is extremely rude. I would never do it to a partner of mine, and I would hope they would extend the same courtesy to me. (And if they don't, hey, I'll just find a room without a tv).

I guess I should frame this... I also shut my laptop immediately when someone enters a room, I'll turn off the radio if I'm not driving alone, and I usually leave the room to send texts. I just ... don't want to make people feel like they're less important than electronics, I guess.

I don't like tv in general! (There are very "enriching" shows out there of course, so I don't mean all the tv shows too...) If anything should be on it is music, or whatever else, but I tend to focus on whatever is on very often, which often makes me bury myself into what I am hearing, like when it is a song I love or enjoy, or something in a movie or show catching my interest - I never liked it, and if it's up to me I choose not to have tv on!

i dont' have a TV, but at my boyfriend's (x boyfriend's!) house, if the TV was on and we wanted to fuck, i'd be turning that shit off most likely before it was all over. it's annoying to me, the television.

unless we were watching a hot porn.

Same situation here! My boyfriend keeps turning on the tv or laptop to get more light. I find it distracting, I'm trying to teach him to light candles instead.
