I understand what you mean. I was almost 25 when I had my 1st (3 weeks before my birthday). When she's 18, I'll be 43. When my youngest is 18, I'll be 45. Still plenty young enough to enjoy whatever I choose to.

Daughter #2 is expecting a child in November...Official "baba and gedo" status then!
Daughter #3 is going to university (medicine), engaged to a banker guy, and getting married Sept. 2012.
Glad we had them so young. I have friends that are my age, who have toddlers at home! Whew...don't know how they do it!
All of my girls are fiercely independent and strong young women. They have really great work ethics and family values. My one and only goal for them is that they be happy! less

I will say that it makes it tough, but it doesn't hinder us terribly. Daytime sex is a little harder than it used to be, but we make do. We have a very active sex life.

Wow, a lot more people here have kids than I thought! We have a 5 year old, that I wouldn't trade for the world! But there are times I wish I could do all of the things I could have had I not had her. But I never regret having her at all, so please don't take that wrong! Soon enough she'll be grown and I'll miss these days I'm so busy with her

After my surgery I'm getting October 6, I won't be able to have any. It sucks since I'm only 23 and maybe my mind would change when I'm older and have someone in my life. I could always adopt in the future when I'm ready though.

I am the only child in the house.

I don't have kids, but maybe in the next decade.

An 11 year old boy. Then we have a 1 year old girl (will be two in 2 months!) Her and the 13 year old boy are part time with us, but the 13 year old switches from us to his dad's house and the 2 year old girl switches out between us and my other sister every few days. We aren't the biological parents, but I'm unable to carry to full term after surgery for endometriosis and 2 miscarriages so having so many kids all the time is very special to us. You'd be surprised at the difference in being a parent who's lost children and being a parent who doesn't know what it's like to not have them. I don't think I truly knew heart ache until that happen and there isn't a minute that I take the kids for granted now.

I have no kids. I tried really hard to have kids with my husband right before we got married but the meds were making it difficult. I ended up getting an IUD placed and we're going to wait 5 years. I'll be off my meds by that time and the doctor thinks I will have a much better chance. I think it's a good idea to wait, all in all. We're young and I'm going back to college for more schooling so it's worth it.
I do watch kids part time as a little "mini job". The neighbors children come over to my home after school and I nanny them for about 4-6 hours. She has a night time job now so it seems they stay here later and later. They are going to start sleeping here soon, which I'm not sure if I'm happy or freaked out about. They are very nosy and like to get into my closet. Thankfully we went out and bought all new locks this weekend so that wont be a problem anymore.
But we have three guest rooms, so they are welcomed to sleep in either one. They are surprisingly clean for little kids, so I suppose they are very organized at home. It's good practice I guess!
