Condom Issue

Contributor: SweetSouthernGirl SweetSouthernGirl
OK, So does being uncircumsized make condom use more difficult? I'm with a guy now that is, and he has trouble keeping condoms on. I don't even know how to breech the topic. As best I can tell they are the right size. He isn't small but I don't think he's large enough to need the large condoms. The sex is great, and truthfully the condom issues haven't been a hindrance, but I don't need any little surprises in my life right now, so I'm trying to figure out if there might be some solution here.

the condom is deffenetly too big. maybe you can be incharged of getting the condoms. eden has some great ones. if standard is to small and magnum is too big they have an in between size. just dont tell him the condoms hes getting are too big for him. that maybe a sensitive topic.

I used to have an uncircumcised friend. In fact, he had phimosis, and had to wear condoms and they stayed on just fine, so I don't think that really weighs in on ones' ability to keep one on. I'd say it's more a sizing issue.

Keep trying new condoms. Every condom is made a little bit differently - especially between brands. We always found Lifestyles brand to be a lot smaller than Durex, so you might want to start there. Trojan usually runs a bit large. Just try some alternative brands (like Kimono too) and you'll find one that fits right sooner or later.

I think the best bet is the size. I've had two boyfriends that were uncircumsized and they had no problem with the condoms falling off. So i'd say try getting a smaller size. It might even be the lubrication that you're using. If the condom is just a tad big and you're using too much lube it could make it more apt to fall off. Maybe try getting a smaller size without as much lube.

Definitely the size, we've never had any trouble keeping condoms on. But I agree that you should experiment with different brands to find one that will stay on him, without making him feel small. But definitely be careful until you find the right size.

try the snugger fit ones by lifestyles.. and have him pull the skin back, then unroll the condom over some of it (not all of it) that'll help it stay on, and not slide off.. i've had that problem before, even wrote a review.

The issue that I find is that the condom doesn't perfectly adhere to the foreskin. This means that, as the penis is thrust to and fro, the condom tends to bunch up and you end up with a glans no longer able to receive direct stimulation.

This, of course, doesn't help staying hard, and I can see where an otherwise perfectly-sized condom could slip off from this.

As an aside, I did try a "twisty" condom one time. It had a special "baggy head" on it that was supposed to help with stimulation. While it was like wearing a trash-bag, it was good in that the foreskin was free to move about without stressing the material.

I'm uncircumcised and of average size, and I've never had any trouble with condoms falling off. I alway pull my foreskin back before rolling one on, and then roll it all the way down. It can be annoying with how much condom winds up hanging off the tip at times, but it's never enough to pull the whole thing off. I'd echo some of the other commenters and suggest trying Lifestyles - they're much snugger than Durex or Trojan.

Try different brands. It might not be a size issue but a general fit issue.
