I always had a higher sex drive while off of birth control.

Some of the side affects say it does but when I took it nothing happened to me.

It never did when I was on hormonal birth control, and it definitely doesn't now that I have a paragard.

I'd say it levels out my sex drive. When I'm not on BC, I'll have a week most months where my libido is uncomfortably high, and then a stretch where my best fantasies can't even really get me going. When I'm on BC, I don't have the crazy got-to-have-it feelings, but I also don't get quite as much of a crash.

I'm about to start taking it continuously for six months (for medical reasons), so I'll see what happens when I'm not having the hormone-free week.

I should say yes it did. Since he went for the big V my sex drive has been better!
