I have read over and over about how "girls are using oral and anal intercourse to maintain their vaginal virginity", or more often to "prevent pregnancy". Since, also, many don't consider it "real" intercourse, they don't feel as guilty about it.

However, I personally have never met anyone for whom that is true.

Anyone here fit that story...of having anal play before vaginal play?

I had anal first when it came to consent. and due to bad experiences- I continued to have anal/oral but not PiV for a few years before I ever let my partner penetrate me. So not for the same reason- but yes.

Vaginal first for me. And I consider anal and oral still sex. And you can still get pregnant via anal.
