Upon opening the package, some toys smell very strongly of chemicals. Often just rinsing off and leaving them in open air will seem to rid these toys of their "volatile" chemicals, but a few new toys seem to just keep "exuding" a chemical smell. Any advice on how to make that smell go away"?
Any secrets for getting chemical smells out of new, soft sex toys?

I found that rubbing it with a water based flavored/scented lube and washing it well seems to remove the foul or chemical aromas in many toys--no, I do not know why, they do not smell like the lube either.....Strange but true!!

i considered tomato juice. i mean, it worked on the dog when he got sprayed by a skunk.
then i smelled it again, nearly threw up, and threw the toy out. i don't need that kind of stress.
so, to sum up, throwing it out works real well. just try not to touch it with your bare hands while tossing it.

This is why I try sticking with everything silicone. Silicone usually doesn't have a scent at all, before I know how horrible jelly and a few other materials were I wondered how to get the smell to go away. I have a Lucid Dream toy for almost 2 years I believe it was an it still stunk after all that time. It smelt the same way it came when I threw it out.
