If your guy got sick though, like I said earlier, that involves two people. It's not like you went ass to mouth with your own germs and got sick, he did it with you and got sick. What kind of "sick" are you talking about exactly? Because I haven't noticed anything, and have never had a friend tell me she got sick from it either, or the few guys I've been with who like to lick me back there never were either. And I did quite a bit of ass to mouth just last night and didnt get sick.
I used the word exaggeration because the idea of getting sick seems like the sort of made up health issue people who don't like anal sex prefer to believe because it gives their opinion something solid sounding to use even if there's not much truth to it. When I was in school there were a few snotty people who would use this type of thing to be snarky against gays and any girls they knew by reputation who liked doing anal sex. They really believe, or really WANT to believe that if you do like anal you'll need diapers, that there has to be poop mess involved, gets aids, prolapse, and just have all sorts of problems. And they'd always have a scary story to tell about someone they knew who tried anal and then of course had all of these very serious medical problems from it. It was a joke how some reactionary people would want to believe them even when they didn't have any experience.
Maybe I haven't been one to put safety ahead of pleasure, but sorry, none of the scary conservative talk against anal sex was true for me or the ones I know who also like it. And when I'd look at the people who would say that sort of stuff, it just seemed that it was their type of personality that made them want the stuff they were scaring people with to be true. That's what was important to them, not keeping anybody safe. Hell they'd have been glad if a girl that they knew liked anal had any of those health things go wrong.
I am sorry to hear your guy got sick. Maybe it is something to keep in mind then although its just not something I'd ever heard of outside the circles of those who don't like anal to begin with.

Um, for the record, I LOVE anal sex. I am not "exaggerating" nor am I a "reactionary." I'm a
nurse so I know what E Coli poisoning looks like. In once instance, after a poorly timed rim job (after anal sex had taken place) approximately 2 days after the act, My Man had an attack of E Coli induced Gastroenteritis. He was sick for about 2 days and then recovered. He's performed rimming a number of times since, (since we've been very careful to make sure nothing has entered the anus to bring down bacteria to the outside, however) yet this one time he did get sick, quite sick.
You may well have a very good immune system, or may simply not get sick often, or just been lucky, but no one is "immune" to their own E Coli or other rectal bacteria. A person is just as likely to become sick when in contact with their own rectal bacteria as when in contact with someone else's. Your lower digestive system has bacteria in it, at times more than at others, that are simply not meant to be eaten, by you or someone else.
Any ass to mouth or variation there-of is the luck of the draw. You could go years and not get sick, and one day end up in the ER with a serious E Coli or Salmonella or Listeria infection or even an attack of parasites. Or, it may never happen.
Hon, it's not people who "hate" anal sex, or people spreading rumors or being "reactionary." Ingesting anal bacteria, which does NOT require seeing anything in order to do, does happen and quite frequently and can make people quite ill.
Being careful with anal sex has nothing to do with being hung up or reactionary, it's just smart action.
