I prefer clenching, and it happens naturally for me. I like thrusting too, but I tend to be a bit lazy and not bother. My muscles clench really hard during orgasm, so thrusting isn't even possible then.

depends on the toy. If its uncomfortable to move, then clench for sure.

I've never orgasmed JUST from an insertable toy, but I often pair one with a clitoral vibe because the orgasms feel "fuller," and I usually thrust. It's way more intense for me. That said, when I'm just on the edge of orgasm/actually coming, I find it hard to keep thrusting--I'm not sure whether it's over-sensitivity or the muscle contractions, but it's just difficult for me to keep up, so I usually end up sort of clenching the toy and thrusting it weakly.
