VENTED ANAL PLUGS. How many have them, make them, use them, or know what they even are?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
I have used anal plugs for ages. I got a LONG WEAR plug, with a vent port to prevent build up of gas behind it, and thus avoid bloat and cramp issues. Sorry, but everyone's intestines produce gasses...even those pristine sweet little folks who "glisten, not sweat".

My hubby, creative dude that he is, has found great drill bits to drill through almost any material and create a nice, small, smooth "vent port" in my long wear plugs...even some metal one's. He really loves me that much.

BUT, I was wondering how common it is for people to wear vented plugs, or to modify their this way? WHY don't more companies make their plugs with vents so they don't need to be modified??????

Anyone care to comment? Again, are we the oddballs on this issue?

Forum highlights on Butt plugs:

Looking for a plug that will stay in place during intercourse
My fiance and I love how sex feels with a dildo or plug in my butt. But I hate having to hold it in or feeling a plug slipping out. I got the colt set

Anal Plugs
Ok so I have never been into anal play but I was wondering what the anal plug is used for?

Have you ever lost a toy or had one break in your butthole?
I have not but it is a fear of mine.

Wishlist button?
I saw someone with a small EF button on their blog that linked to their EF wishlist and have been searching the site up and down for this button....

Evolved and Push-Button Vibrators
I think Evolved products are really great toys, but one thing I would wish for is that they came in a multi-speed dial version, rather than push...

I've seen a few of these around. There are metal ones made by a company called Meo I think. Oxballs do a silicone one called a "Pig Hole" which is ribbed on the inside, and allows your partner to have sex with you through the plug while you're wearing it.

I don't have anything like this, but I'd be curious to try one if Eden starting stocking something along these lines.

I have one, it's called comfy plug, which is designed for long term wear. Unfortunatelly, it's made out of wrong material and it makes it very uncomfortable.

Too funny. That IS an engineering term, strange as it may seem. That is, even stranger, the term used to describe gases released by polymers when they are "curing". It is why a NEW CAR has "new car smell" Out-gassing of the dash and cabin parts!!!!

It does look like you can keep that clean, which would be my concern.

The narrow neck plugs like the NJ Pure Plugs let gas out better then thick ones and long plugs. There is a new product out called Perfect Fit Tunnel Plugs. I don't think they designed them for gas release after reading the description. The plugs are large with opening out the way through. They are also on the short side, soft silicon and difficult to insert. I use my Anero MGX to help push it in. Big pop when it goes in. It keeps you open. Can be worn during meals and after since there is gas release. Beware, u can not control the gas release as u r held open. It just comes out since you can not close your butt muscle.

The problem I see with a vented plugs is that you cannot control the release of the gas - it just comes out! Most people like to use their muscles to find appropriate times and places for that 'activity.'

I once had an SO of mine wear a Rectal Dilator overnight, which has a small hole in it. Unfortunately the rest of the 'plug' was hollow, so sometime at night when a large gas bubble formed, it echoed on the way out! Too funny...

The only long term comfortable plug I've found is the Njoy, and I havent had a problem 'releasing' while keeping it in. I might need to push the handle to the side or just hold it so it stayed in, but its not a big deal.

It does indeed just "come out", but there is no noise either and since it does not "build up", I must assume it comes out a bit at a time, and thus, I never detected any "smell" to speak of. Worn mine to some long, fancy parties, without issues.
