Have you ever tried or know someone who have tried ass numbing lubes? Did it help or was it not worth it?

I remember then I was experiencing my first toys so I got something similar to this: Numbing Lube used it once or twice but never felt the difference..

The reason pain exists is to warn you that something you are doing is bad for you! If anal sex hurts then slow down, warm up slowly and use more lube. We have found that silicone or oil based lube makes anal play more pleasurable as water based lube gets absorbed faster.

Seriously numbing creams or sprays take most of the pleasure out of the act and can lead to rectal tearing...which takes a hell of a long time to heal and can be a pretty serious injury.
I mean really, no one would say "Hey getting punched in the face hurts...so we'll give you a few shots of novocain to make it feel better"! The best answer is if it hurts either slow down or stop and reassess whether it's worth continuing.

If you can't feel sensation in your anus due to numbing lube, you won't be able to feel if you're being seriously injured. Bad.

I second that. Pain is the body's way of telling you something is wrong.

As everyone else has said, this is correct. If it hurts, figure out why it hurt and fix it, don't numb it, you'll just end up getting hurt.

I never understood it, the point is to enjoy the stimulation not to give your partner something to just fuck. There just as many nerve endings in the anus as the vagina, why dull those sensations. Learn to relax and train that ass so you can enjoy all it has to offer.

Tried some once, but didn't like it.

Yeah, you have to be careful back there sometimes. I agree with Airen on this.
You don't want to rip yourself a new one (sorry, couldn't resist)

I hated the numbing stuff. What's the point?

Like everyone has said, when used for sex I definitely think it's unwise and overly risky to choose to not be completely aware of how you're feeling down there. Anal sex isn't dangerous... when done right. So do it right!
However, as an occasional brazilian waxer, I'd be curious as to how well some of the numbing products intended for sex compare other topical pain relievers and numbing creams/ointments.

I didn't vote on this one. It just seems dangerous to me. You need to be able to feel what's going on. Besides, if it's painful, you probably shouldn't be doing it.

THIS. Seriously, numbing creams are a *very* bad idea.

The conclusion is: ladies and gentelmen do not numb your ass before anal sex/play.

A friend of mine used this and really liked it. I've never really wanted to use anything though.
My guy once used a spray to make him last longer, which completely numbed my vagina and ass.. I won't ever again use that again, or anything specifically to numb my areas

Good informational thread... I hadn't even thought about this, but it's good to know that I should stay away from numbing lube!

We tried actual real lidocaine jelly... great to numb your mouth in .5 seconds but does ZERO to numb your wife's ass - just a hint. LOL

I would rather have pain and stop, then do further damage thinking everything is ok.
12/01/2011
Not safe. Gotta be careful with it
12/03/2011
I wouldn't do it.
