It has been off and on for me and I finally was able to try anal again but because it isn't very often I haven't gotten used to how to prepare for it. I remember a while ago I did try with and without an enema (anal douche) before hand and I haven't had any issues in the past. But I don't want to sound gross or anything, however recently my last attempt wasn't without incident. I'm wondering if I need to do several enema's before hand and wait a little while? I tried to flush my system after using the bathroom to try and make myself extra clean with the enema (anal douche). I don't know if because it was a bulb anal douche and not a bag enema did I not flush or clean myself properly? and was that the reason for my messiness which was so embarrassing that I wanted to die. We had to stop and clean up and try again but it was still messy. So now I wonder if I should even try the anal douche before hand or just do it after to clean/flush? I feel horrible from this experience but I love anal and don't want this to happen again. tips? help?

Constructive discussions on Cock rings:
Guys, do you watch your penis entering your lovers body? Ladies, do you ever watch yourself being penetrated?
Does this act as a visual turn on and heighten your pleasure?
STRING RED LICORICE TIES...ever tried it.
We had a bag of licorice (red strings) we were nibbling on when shopping yesterday. When we got home and getting ready for bed, I tied them around my.

Anyone wearing GREEN for St. Patrick's Day, 2014?
If yes, is that common in your area or town?
Strong enough to please me
Hey y'all I need some help here ! It is hard for me to get off during sex without my man wearing a vibrating cock ring and sometimes not even then.. I

My wife and I had a similar “messy” experience years ago so we understand the feeling. A majority of the time we have enjoyed each other anally has been without any internal flushing or cleaning. We’ll clean the exterior of course but the interior rarely. Oe of the problems that presents itself with certain enema solutions is that they are also laxatives. It will flush out the rectum itself but then they encourage the rest of the bowels to evacuate as well. So you think everything is fine and dandy but then you have and incident involving messy things. It creates confusion and insecurities. As long as both you and your partner are comfortable and understanding that things like this will happen, then rest assured and simly try again.

Personally, I’ll buy a normal bottle enema, empty it’s contents down the drain and fill it with warm (body temp) distilled water and use that for my enema. It’s water so it can help flush but no chemicals to cause irritation or continued evacuations. - C

Thanks so much for the response. I think I will do my cleansing on different days than anal play and just clean the exterior as long as there is no need to use the restroom. I was really embarrassed and insecure with the messy incident but I don't want to let it hinder our anal play.

We have been doing anal play for years. We know others "into" this type of play too. Enema's in my book, stir things up. If you really want to help avoid issues like you had, make sure you have had a bowel movement a few hours prior to play and don't have to go "at all". Make sure you have not eaten a heavy meal, or if this is planned, stick to very absorbable and gut easy foods (rice, fruits, juices, ices) the evening before (keeping the intestines emptier then usual). Then just clean well on the outside and you should be "good to go". If some soiling happens, just laugh it off...keep your "Wet One's" handy, and don't be overly concerned. All sex can be messy (and look silly, if you think about it).

Ok so I don't do the anal thing. I have stayed away 1) because it hurts and 2) because it requires lube.
I never ever considered using an enema! There is no way that I would do anal play if i had to prepare it more than cleaning it. I want sex to be a natural thing not something that I have to rearrange my whole day around!

Cinnyree. I hate pain. I love anal. The two do not go together in my book. The right lube and patience and anal sex is all gain, no pain. If it hurts, I assure you, I wouldn't be doing it. Vaginal sex can "hurt" if you do it wrong and without enough lube (natural or artificial, depending) too. As for "preparing", well, we don't do the enema thing, but we do prepare, shower, wash down there, get the right lubes out...etc. We do a lot of prep for our sex play..not just anal. Frankly, we enjoy the prep as part of the "warm up". It is a thrill knowing you are preparing for such fun. "Natural" and "spontaneous" happen, sure, but actually, the stuff you plan for, and work towards, can be the most erotic and indeed, most thrilling. Try it. You might like it.

Thanks for the reply and advice. Now that I think about it, I really should try to plan for it by reducing heavy meals and keeping the insides more empty to avoid issues. I will try to laugh it off next time too.

i guess my biggest problem is that I am at a point in my life or my relationship that I end up thinking "i got naked for THAT?" Even when it's good I see it as a waste of time. I think my life just needs to change before I can truly open my mind about fun stuff like this.

I will occasionally prep with a bulb enema, but most of the time I don't. I think the key for me is to know when I feel like it will be ok and when it won't. If I feel iffy in that department, we just don't do that type of play. We check in with each other and give the green light or no.
So, go with your gut if you don't go the enema route. If you know you just emptied out, and things are all clear, then it is a good night for anal. If you aren't feeling like it will work out, maybe wait on the anal and just do other play.

We both have anal sex frequently - no enemas. We can live with small indiscretions -and it's quite rare. Since we have cut way back on carbs - things have settled down nicely.
Caution for the guys. When I first asked my wife to do anal for me - I wanted to be especially clean - so I went the enema route. I ended up with an asymptomatic prostate infection. What a nightmare. It raised my PSA making my doctor think I might have prostate cancer. Blood flow to the prostate is limited - so I had to take Cipro for 30 days, and have the PSA test repeated - all on my dime because I'm uninsured.
That $2 Fleet enema cost me a doctor visit $75, two PSA tests @ $50 each and the Cipro - luckily the generic at Walmart was just $10. That's $185 - not to mention the worry about cancer.

Did you use the solution that comes with the enema? I always just dump it and save the bottle simply to use with water alone.

I think this is probably the best advice. I've rarely used an enema, and when I have it was just warm water, nothing else. But if you feel like it might be messy, just leave it to another time.
