We had our usual Friday Night friends get together, on MONDAY. After the Halloween weekend with CANDY and KIDS, everyone wanted to just go out to eat. No sick mother in laws, and no one's kids there, so as usual we got to going on SEX talk (especially around the COSTUMES folks wore to the SEXY adult costume party...etc). After a few too many drinks, one of the gals (who does NOT have to get up for work the next day, as she works "from home", on her own time (she audits medical billing), looks at her hubby, smiles seductively and says "take me home big boy, throw me in the bed and then you can sodomize me all night long".

We all almost lost it laughing so hard. "SODOMIZE ME"? Really...does anyone actually speak like that???? Okay, she did not get offended at the "joke on her" (she innocently just said "WHAAAATTTS WRONG WITH THAT????". However, outside of COURT TV, none of us has EVER heard that term used in a GOOD way, between lovers!!!

Are WE all nuts? Do YOU ever...like EVER use this term in a LOVING sense between you and your lover????? (of course, NOW, I had to look at my hubby last night and say "get over here and keep me warm...and it is okay if you SODOMIZE ME while you are here" (we almost couldn't do it..since we could not stop laughing after that!!!!!!)

The only way I can think of it coming up would be a reference to a song by a band I like that uses the word... in French. Wouldn't make a bit of sense to anyone who didn't know the origin of it. So, I'd probably have to say it at least once just to be odd, but otherwise... uhm no.

Sure, I use it often enough. It has a distinctly forbidden feel to it, besides, sometimes we get into the Angel and Demon roleplay, and hell if an angel would say "Are you going to Fuck my ass." "Are you going to sodomize me" fits better with the mood in that case.

Nope. Don't use that one. I do love to say - and i know I probably overdo it - "buttfuck" just because it sounds so atypical, like opposite of what girls are supposed to refer to it as. I loves me some major big time buttfucking!

I never use the term because it's a bibical slander against the people of Sodom. What better way to hurt a culture of people you deem evil but by writing lies about them butt fucking each other in stone so that the lie sticks and soon becomes the actual term for anal sex. Just like Thomas Crapper's name is now the word used for toilets and poop.

We've never used the word "sodomize" in the bedroom. The only times I've heard that word was from news reports, and it's always about sex abuse crimes, I don't think the word is suitable to be used in jokes.

I think there is some confusion in this thread with regards to the term 'sodomy' and 'sodomize.'

If you are speaking from a biblical perspective the term means (male) homosexual acts or sex with animals. If you talking from a legal standpoint the term is much broader. Generally meaning sex acts where penetration occurs that isn't PIV. In fact, when you see the term in a newspaper it is almost always referring to oral sex, not anal. Because of this precived connotation with anal sex many jurisdictions in the US have change the name of the laws on the books to a more generic verbiage.

And no, I don't use the term any more than I use the term fellatio or cunnilingus as part of my regular vocabulary.

We agree. We were not joking. The one lady at our table used it with her husband and apparently they DO use the term for ANAL SEX between them. It was only the REST of us that thought the use of that word was......odd. Part of the problem is we DID never hear it used outside of criminal news reports!!! However, she swears that is what SHE learned was the "correct" term when in, of all things, HEALTH CLASS in high school (in the sixties). Thus, she has used it ever since.
