After reading a review on lube i started thinking about how everyone applies lube when they are preparing for sex. I was thinking about this from an anal perspective because i dont generally use lube for vaginal or oral but feel free to join in however you use lube!
For the sake of the poll i havent put a 'sometimes' option on purpose, please try to pick the option that you think you do the most

As a bit of an interesting side topic...How does everyone appy the lube to their ass/pussy? Do you just put it on the outside and during insertion the object (penis or toy) push the lube down further into your ass/pussy?
Or do you try to put it deep in your ass/pussy before penetration with a finger etc?

I start with applying lube with my finger and then use a small syringe to squirt a amount into my ass. Then I will apply some to the toy. In this way I rarely have to reapply lube to the toy.

We use lube for 100% of anal 98% of penetrative activity. The lube is always applied to both - although vaginally it's probably not necessary.

We usually only use lube for anal, or larger toys. I've always just put lube on the toy I was using, but for anal, we put it both on the toy OR his penis, and my ass too. I don't think you can use too much lube for anal.

We usuallyly lube to both the penis and vagina. we usually start with the penis, then put some on the vagina. This is mainly because if we don't lube both my lips will still some how end up getting pulled when he tries to enter me. I hate how much that hurts.

I kinda screwed up when I voted. For anal I put lube on myself and on his penis/the toy. I don't use lube for vaginal sex, but I use it sometimes with toys. I apply it just to the toy and not to my vagina.

Both insertive object and orifice is the best way to go. For anal it's a good idea to try and work it in a bit, less critical for vaginal.

We only apply lub as needed. Ussually to the toy just to get it started

We use lube for all things anal, on the ass, penetrating finger, penis and butt plugs.
By beginning, with lube, we avoid discomfort and interruptions to apply lube. Lube is now just part of our foreplay.
Come to think of it; I usually apply lube to my vaginal use toys as well prior to solo play.

Always on both...just like joining two pieces of PVC pipe. I laid pipe before I ever...well..."laid pipe", and you are supposed to glue a pipe to its fitting by gluing both. I honestly think this is why I always lube both.
