New features: Material Safety and Better Choice

Contributor: Program Manager Program Manager
New updates! We have a new shipping deal, found in the upper right-hand corner. On product pages, we've added a couple features: a material safety index, which is on a 1-10 scale. Also, a tool bar at the top to show other toys in the same category. In some cases, there is also a 'better choice' tab, which directs you to similar toys that are of better quality/have higher ratings. See an example link .

What do you think about the new page?
Thanks for your feedback, as always!

I really like the new additions! Very helpful! It's nice to see the material safety and rating status at a glance, and I especially like the "show other toys" category.

I like the new enhancements, especially the safety scale and better choice tab, I saw them this morning, great improvements. Keep up the good work.

I also like the new enhancements! Especially the material safety rating because I have found myself reading descriptions and reviews of toys and not particularly paying attention to the material until I am about to order it! Now it's much more clear!

I have to comment on the new shipping deal though. I would rather go with the regular 3-5 day shipping but, it's only because DHL doesn't deliver to my home. They deliver to the local post office of their choosing so it takes an extra day or two for me to actually recieve the package. I'm just one of many people though and just because they won't deliver to my house doesn't mean everyone will have a problem. UPS has always delivered packages to my house with no problem, I'm not really sure why DHL will not......

Ooooh, looks good! I really like the better choice tab, and the material safety thing is handy as well. =)

The new features are great, very useful and I think will help a lot of people make better choices regarding materials.

I do have to say though, that DHL recently pulled out of Montana, so that really bites for me. Will there be any substitutes for the people who DHL doesn't deliver to?

I found this link from a newspaper. link
Guess that means I will just be getting those packages through USPS. Just thought I'd post that in case anyone else was curious about the DHL pull out from the more rural areas of the country.

That's how I've always gotten mine through dhl. They just deliver it to whatever post office they want to. It usually takes an extra day if not two to get my package. I personally would rather just go straight through the usps or ups. Ups has always been really good about delivering my packages even at 8pm on christmas eve =).

I've had to sign for several of my last few packages mailed through Priority Mail, and I never had to do this before. Is this a new change? I can see the logic behind it, but it's terribly inconvenient.

I LOVE the new material safety meter. It's really handy for those materials I'm not that familiar with. Yeah, I know silicone is the best thing ever, but it's really helpful for silicone composites and other materials I'm unsure about. Fantastic!

DD, would you pls elaborate on this. Did you need to sign for the package at the post office? Or you needed to sign in into your account on the website to place the order?
Because if it is at the post office – this is very strange, we need to contact USPS for explanations.

I've had to sign for the packages on delivery, and I've never had to do this before. So, from the Post Office. Thanks!
