I have been going through and cleaning up my list of members I follow, and been un-following the ones that have not been active or at least not been adding anything to the community since last year. Is that wrong, should I not be doing that for whatever reasons?
Is it wrong of me to unfollow members who have not added anything to the community for months at a time?

I do it all the time... I usually give them a chance to follow me though. Ill comment on their reviews again and post to their wall. But if they havent been on for months... Sorry, unfollow status you go.

I go through my list every few weeks/months and purge inactive contributors.

good. I did not want to be the only one who was doing this.
04/01/2012
I can't see how that would be an issue.
04/01/2012
I just unfollowed almost everyone in an attempt to figure out how to use my wall.
Didn't work. It's still information overload.

Oh, no! I do need to do this, I have over 1100 people I am following and have noticed some are not active. Thanks for asking, I do not want to seem like I am farming or anything and was a bit leery of doing this!
04/01/2012
I haven't as of yet, but if you feel that they are not giving you feedback or doing reviews that give you assistance or support. Then why not?
04/01/2012
I see nothing wrong with it.
04/01/2012
Nope. It's *your* feed, you should choose who you have on it.
04/01/2012
No, it doesn't really seem like an issue to me.
04/01/2012
I've never deleted anyone, but I don't see anything wrong with it.
04/01/2012
I don't have to worry about that, because I've been only following two contributors, when I first joined Eden.

SO long as you are not following and then unfollowing only to follow them again for the points there's no problem. Some people get a bit hurt if you unfollow them when they are still here just not as active, though.

I agree with Pixel. It's your feed, do what makes you happy.
I'd be far more likely to unfollow someone who's chatty, than quiet, since it's the chatty ones that sometimes blow up my wall. While we're on the topic, I'll voice (again) my desire for the ability to view all of our followers on a single page, not just in that tiny 5-per-page widget.

Is there an easy way to find out if followers are active or not? Even though I have few followers, I would like to keep the list manageable.
04/01/2012
Being as it is your page and your choice to follow in the first place, then you have the right to un-follow a person who hasn't been active for a year or more.
04/01/2012
I don't see an issue with this.
04/01/2012
No problem there don't feel bad. I do this too!
04/01/2012
As long as you are not following and unfollowi people on a regular basis just to get points it doesn't matter.
04/01/2012
I really need to do this. I just have not.

Legitimately cleaning up your list, though, is absolutely FINE. In fact, I should probably do it myself!
04/01/2012
I don't see a problem with doing that.
04/01/2012
Sounds like they won't notice anyway!
04/01/2012
I'm passive. Unless someone I was following did something I strongly, morally, etc. Disagreed with, I don't bother to.
04/01/2012
I don't see anything wrong with this. But I guess one could call me lazy as I just don't bother to.
04/01/2012
I don't think it would be a problem, and if anyone is offended you can stay in contact by mailing.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I won't unfollow anymore though... I see people come back after months or even years of being on hiatus.

I tend to keep mine, inactive or not.
04/01/2012
I'd probably feel guilty if I did, but that's just my nature.
