Hello everybody, there seems to have been a bit of confusion regarding the clubs since they came into existence, and I'd like to try and clear a few things up for you. The first big thing is that all forum events are open to everybody in the community. This means that whether you've been here for a few years or you just joined up, you're more than welcome at any club meeting. The only real club requirements are that you participate in the meetings.
Different clubs have different meeting times and they're all located on the calendar at the top of the forum and on each individual club subcategory. Those can be helpful reminders, but I know sometimes I forget to check the calendar all the time and for those of you who may want an extra helping hand, we now have the option to set alerts. Following new threads will set an alert that emails you whenever a new thread is started in any club category. Notifying about new events is essentially the same thing, sending you an email when a new event is created. The difference between just a thread and an event is that an event will have a Google calendar button down at the bottom that will let you add it to your own personal calendar.
Birthday Club: Is run by Darling Jen and is a simple way to show that you're cared about on your birthday. Each month, Jen will post a list of the birthdays for the month, and you'll get a $25 gift card. If you haven't already, you should message her with your birthday to be included on the list.
Eden Cooks: This is hosted by Antipova and is here to connect people who enjoy cooking. If you have a recipe you want to share with everybody, you can even have it posted on the club blog, or just join us on the third Monday of every month at 8pm EST to learn what Antipova is going to teach us to make.
Eden Flicks is hosted by BBW Talks Toys and is a place for all you movie lovers to get together and discuss a different movie each month; on the first Monday at 8pm EST. Want to watch a movie with everybody else on the forums? Well you can do that too! The date varies each month, but you can sit down and watch a movie while chatting with your fellow forum members.
Eden Kink is hosted by Rayne and is open to anybody who wants to learn or talk about kink is any aspect. This meets on the last Thursday of the month at 8pm EST.
Eden Lit is hosted by Airen Wolf and is an outlet for those of you who like to write. Whether it be poetry, short stories, erotica, or anything else; Eden Lit is a place where you can have your work published on the blog and then discuss all the submissions on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm EST.
The only club with any real requirements. With this, you get a movie each month and have to write a review on it, as well as join in the discussions. To join Porn Club, email Emma (Emma @ edenfantasys.com) and let her know.
There are a few other things that you may have seen around that have meetings, and I want to cover those too. On the first Thursday of each month, we start a Community Planning thread to discuss things going on in the community. This is where you would go if you had anything community related to bring up; a new suggestion, a comment, a question, whatever. This will bean ongoing thing throughout the month, and at the end of each month we may meet to discuss what's been brought up. Eden Gives Back projects are also discussed on the Community Planning threads. On the first Thursday of each month we start our Reviewers Spotlight thread where we turn the spotlight onto two reviewers who have been around a while and made a mark on the community. You have all month to ask the spotlighted reviewers any questions you can think of! All of these meet on a regular basis and all of them are open to everybody in the community.
A few things that happen on a less regular basis are the actual holiday parties and workshops. But for the most part, the parties and workshops are held periodically and are open to everybody who wants to attend.
