What do you think of two/three days a year where EF has free international shipping?

Contributor: Woman China Woman China
So today I was looking at placing an order. And I was planning on getting the Yooo and the deal one with the massage oil. So I couldn't use a discount. Then I went to check which type of shipping I wanted, and there is only one option for international orders.

Toy Price: 119
Shipping: 26.50
Total Price: 145.50

The base cost of international shipping is 25USD. And if that was gone for an order, I'd love to toss in another massage oil, or a new glass toy, or well... the Jopen Intensity would have been mine!!!! And/or my toy collection would have been much bigger than it is.

And I do have to say I am so very jealous of people who get free shipping because they live in the States!!! What I am asking, is if EF ever had say something like a free international order day, advertised it for a while first, would you place a bigger order than normal? Or just carry on as usual?

But then again, my guilt is making its presence known by saying, well, EF has been very good to you, this week double the points, you've gotten your postage paid for by this alone.

I live in the U.S. and I think that would be nice for people outside of the U.S. I am sure that would give members of the Eden Community who live outside of the U.S. incentive to make many purchases!

I live in the US, but since I know I love free shipping for me, I think it would be nice if everyone could enjoy it every now and again.

It would be nice, but I'm not sure if it would be cost-effective for EF.

I live in the U.S. so this does not apply to me, but free shipping is always fantastic!

It would be awesome, but highly doubt it will ever happen. I have suggested a few times around the forum for free overseas shipping on orders over $250+.

I live in the US, therefore free international shipping days wouldn't effect me one way or another

I think it'd be great to have a free shipping option for non-US addresses. While shipping prices for US customers goes lower as the cost of their shopping cart goes up, the shipping prices for me (in Canada) goes UP as I add more items into the cart. It'd be nice if there was some kind of minimum value to hit for free international shipping, or a 'free shipping day' for everyone.

I think it would be a great option for non-US people, but I would think they should put an order amount minimum on it. No sense people getting something that costs less than shipping with free shipping, for example.

If it's free shipping on orders over $59 for the U.S., I don't see why EF shouldn't offer free shipping on orders over $175 or $200 to international addresses.

I was just thinking that.

the other thought that just came to me is say, Canada Day (July 1), Canadians get a present of free shipping. October 1 China's National Day, I get a present of free shipping!!!! And so do all the other people who order from China. Or something similar for various other countries then one additional day on top of that.

I think it would need to be over a certain amount for free shipping. I agree with stinkytofu10.

I think it's a good idea, but it would cost Eden quite a bit. Maybe over a certain amount, as others have suggested.

I'm in the US.
I think it would be nice if Eden provided free international shipping at times, but it's really just up to them to decide what's best for the company. I definitely trust them, so if for some reason international shipping is just not cost effective to provide for free, then that definitely sucks, but there's not much we can do about it

It would be a nice courtesy to offer to orders over (as Shellz said) maybe $250 or something like that. International shipping is expensive for companies, so it makes sense to have a minimum that is cost-effective. It could obviously have restrictions regarding weight. (Don't order an Eleven, or pay extra for anything over a certain numbers of pounds?) It would encourage international buyers to place large orders, and I think bring some new customers to Eden.

I am an international customer. One part of me highly appreciated the idea. You know, that part which counts money.

On the other hand... Clearances, sales, Eden Points, gift cards, giveaways, and so on, and so forth. Constant promotions. What if we are spoiled a little? Or maybe not-so-little?

Well, I voted negative. I do believe that existing promotions are generous enough. But I'll be even happier if EF staff will arrange free international shipping of any kind.

I think it would be nice, but as Lummox stated, we get pretty spoiled here at Eden. My toy and lingerie collection has increased tenfold since I've discovered Eden, and my pocket hasn't suffered as much as it should have.

That's kinda what I was wondering. (I'm in the US So it really doesn't matter to me..)

I guess EF would have to figure out the percent of how many overseas members there are and decide.

Or maybe not free but a few opportunities for discounted shipping.

That could be a nice idea.

I agree with the several options for discounted shipping codes. I know shipping isn't cheap when going international, and no it might not be "fair" that we always have free shipping in the states, but I do know that the value of an American dollar to a Euro is much less. In some way, I think it's compensated for.

I know I love free shipping, but there has to be a reason EF doesn't do free shipping for those over seas. It would be nice if you could get free shipping at least once a month or every other. I too think they are generous enough as is with gift cards, points, and so on. If they had more over seas costumers maybe they could offer a better deal.

As an international customer I'd love to see this. But I don't think it's possible. I do envy the free shipping in the US... For example the shipping of some Liberator items would cost more that the product itself. So no ramps or wedges for me.

I think it would be nice yes. I'd place bigger orders if after a certain amount was free to Canada. They were cheaper and now for the last week, I've only seen the cheapest option be $21.99 no matter what I put in my cart. It's off putting, even though I understand its probably not cheap to ship. I know why its more expensive, but it doesn't make it any easier to swallow, Lol!

Sure, why not? Or offer it for orders over a certain amount, maybe?
