I was thinking about this earlier today. We have had about four items that went out of stock just before we planned to place an order. So here we sit, waiting and waiting and waiting. Three weeks later and they are STILL out of stock! Yikes!
I was wondering, what do you think about putting something in place that maybe said "Will be in stock by xxx date". ??
This way you can plan your orders accordingly. Maybe you have other things IN STOCK but are waiting on something else to come in. Well, if you wait too long for the one item, the other ones that WERE in stock might go out of stock by the time you are "ready" to place your order! THen you're waiting again!
So, I was thinking-what about this "Will be in stock by..." This would save a LOT of messages from being written with the support tickets. This way those folks don't have to keep running to their stock managers asking "When is this going to be in....." all the time. And of course, saves us from having to wonder/wait for messages to be returned!
