How Reviews are Listed on the Product Pages

Contributor: Kayla Kayla
I know this has been mentioned before, but, while I'm adjusting to the new product pages, I honestly can't say that I'm adjusting too well to the way that the reviews are listed. I'd love to see the reviews mentioned by summary instead of "pros". It really discourages me to list any pros to a product that I really dislike if that's what quick-reading visitors are going to see.

I was looking at a Jackmaster review earlier, and I saw tons of five stars, and a two star with some good pros. In my mind, it's all just really confusing, and I'd much prefer to have the summaries back. They allowed the reviewer to explain why it was/wasn't worth purchasing in their own words which covered both sides of the coin fairly. People come to EF specifically for the reviews, so I'd love to see that our review section can stay rockin'.

Just wondering if this was going to possibly be changed?

I brought this up the other day too. Not liking the new format at all! And we aren't alone on this. Maybe admin should do a poll? I would, but don't want to sound too repetitive. It would probably be better coming from them?

I mentioned this on another thread but I'm going to copy and paste here as well because this is one of the problems I'm having with the new product page/review set up.

I just went to a product page where I had a review and couldn't find it. At first I thought my review was completely missing and then I finally found where it said to "read all reviews". There are 5 reviews showing at first and over 20 tucked away. If I couldn't find those when I was purposely looking for them, then someone new will probably not find them at all.

I agree. I like the summaries better because the information is more useful.

Yeah, I still really dislike the new layouts. I hate to sound negative because I love the site, but I've found myself very sad by this change.

I definitely wish the reviews were more prominent and that the pros weren't the only thing shown. If you want to show pros, show cons too. Or the summary.

I came across the same problem of not all reviews being shown. I actually had a friend looking for a review and couldn't find it which prompted me to go looking and it took me a while to find the 'read all reviews' option.

I agree with this.

Someone on the thread with the updates said, "Well, maybe it's just because we're not used to it." But honestly, a new user and buyer will not have TIME to get used to it.

Yep, which will lead them to go someplace else for what they are looking for.

Which isn't something that I want to see happen. I <3 EF!
