So it seems like there are always a number of products I'm interested in that are out of stock. I would love it if there was some way for me to find out when a product will be back in stock besides submitting a help desk ticket. It doesn't have to be exact but some general idea of when it'll be back in stock would be great.

Actually, you can set alerts on products that are out of stock, and you will be notified when it comes back into stock. JR actually did a really nice tutorial on this a little while ago. When a product is out of stock, there will be an option to set an alert for "Back in stock" right above where "New similar product is released" is in the pop up alerts box seen in the tutorial. We've had this feature for a while, and it's really handy!
Hope that helps

Yup I use it all the time. I was just saying if it was possible to list an estimate of how long it'll be before a product is back in stock that would be helpful so that I don't keep waiting for items if they're not going to be back in stock for a while.

Yeah, that would be a great idea.
Because I'm sitting here, planing my next shopping. And because of the shipping costs I'd like to buy it all at once. But I don't know - should I wait or not.
Would be a great feature.

I agree this would be helpful but I think it'd take a lot of work on EF's part. There have been times when I have waited for something to come back before placing an order and then after placing the order I get an email saying the product that I initially wanted was back in stock. Doh!

I add my agreement to this, it would be helpful instead of waiting days on end for a product that i wanted to add to my order. I did that once, then when i was going to buy it, it poofed out of stock later that day AGAIN!

I agree. Or at least mention when products are getting low on stock like some other sites do. I'm still waiting on a DVD to come back in stock from six months ago even though it's not mentioned as discontinued. I also keep ordering board games only to have them never ship because I'm told they're out of stock even though they're listed as in-stock on the product page.

Perhaps EF could somehow link their inventory tracking information with the product pages. I've seen some sites where it will list "X number available." Of course this could be a total gimmick, but I have seen where they listed 2 left and I bought both and the listing then changed to out of stock. This would help with preventing things from running out before you decide to purchase.
Knowing when things are going to be back in stock is much harder since they are at the mercy of the company/distributor of the toy. They can potentially give estimates, but it would not necessarily be reliable.

They can perhaps not give time estimates, but what the status of the product is.
For example:
-out of stock
-not comming back
-planed to re-order
-re-ordered (what means it will be on the way and be back on stock soon)
By the way, is there someone I can ask when I want to know when a certain product comes back to stock?
For example:
-out of stock
-not comming back
-planed to re-order
-re-ordered (what means it will be on the way and be back on stock soon)

I just always open a help ticket. Not sure if there's a specific person that handles this.
