Eden DVD - Suggestions for our Adult DVD selection?

We have been talking about revamping our DVD selection here at Eden. Our plan is to focus on being more selective with the titles that we carry, and not focus on the current ‘hot new releases’ that nobody remembers or cares about next week.

Off the top of my head, here are some of my (and In the Pink’s) suggestions – some of which we already have:

-- Classics: Debbie Does Dallas, Deep Throat, Taboo, Behind the Green Door, Devil in Mrs. Jones, Alpha Blue Titles (Classic Re-issues & Famous Porn Star Series), Betty Page, Annie Sprinkle

-- Famous Parodies: Edward Penishands, Not the Munsters, Re-penetrator, Sexorcist

-- Contemporary Classics: Pirates I & II, Fashionistas I & II

-- Hentai / Anime: La Blue Girl, Urotsukidoji, Fritz the Cat… (maybe parody hentai like Sailor and the 7 balls, Starballz)

-- All things Belladonna

-- Tristan Taormino: Chemistry series

-- Movies with X ratings: Brown Bunny, Caligula

-- Abby Winters: select titles

-- Comstock Films: the entire library

-- Instructional: Nina Hartley, Tristan Taormino, Alexander Institute and other various

… I would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions!!! Do you have a favorite production company or favorite title you think we should carry?

Those are all great categories.

I'd love especially to see a good Hentai/Anime category - not sure if the ova are out on DVD or just the movies (I'm thinking Urotsukidoji here - I have the ova on VHS and the movies on laserdisc - and I think others have the ova too).

I would really like it if the star searching system was revamped. Right now, it feels a little cumbersome.

Sweetheart Video, Lesbian Provocateur and Viv Thomas titles would be amazing. Recent Ninn Worx titles as well as more recent Vivid titles such as Throat, Dark Side of the Sun and In the Army Now. Some of the more recent titles from Digital Playground, Abby Winters, Zero Tolerance, Elegant Angel and Wicked Pictures would be nice too.

I have been out of the loop for a while now with the hentai/anime stuff, but I used to have it all on bad, 20th generation, fansubbed, vhs copies. I have seen some of the titles here and there on DVD, but I am not sure what is currently 'in print'.

I don't know much about hentai, but I know Bible Black is huge.

Was wondering if a revision of the DVD section would come any time soon?

I just would like to suggest Box sets! 20 hour sets, to 50 hour sets... Usually the 50 hour sets from what i hear have a lot of duplicate scenes. It would be also awesome to see Box sets and stuff. I absolutely hate shopping anywhere else, but I had to go to DVD empire for the last set of movies (elegant Angel's 20 hour anal set! ). I would rather give all my business to this great store we have here.

Also, was wondering what EF's official rules of DVDs they carry, for example I notice some DVD genres are not available at EF such as.. a genre for race specific titles (with the exception of Asian). By this I mean, there is now Latina, or Ebony category. Is this because of a certain reason?

I am not saying you do not carry these genre of movies, but there is no category for them.


Anyway

If you want a specific title, it is not a box set, it is a foreign film called

-Young Harlots Finishing School

The studio is "Harmony" and Release Date was Feb 18, 2009

and Eon McKai's Kill Girl Kill 1-3 (2005)

Thirded about the parodies. Those are really my favorite to watch. And I really want to see the Scrubs one. Or any other popular ones.

Also, the Dark Shell hentai. The English dub for it is surprisingly decent.

I would really love to have the larger selection. I can understand why you want to be selective but...

There are no box sets.

I love Eden Fantasys, but due to the smaller size, I find myself shopping at Adult DVD Empire. Which sucks, now that The eden points program is here and I could put my points to a DVD.

I like there selection, sure they have like 75,000 titles, and some of them may not be very good, but there are some real gems over there that Eden does not carry. I suppose I could create a list later.


Also I notice, a lot of the release dates are 2006, 2005 and 2008. I only seen a few 2010 releases. Then again i suppose I could have over looked some...
