When do sales/specials happen?

I haven't been here long, so maybe the answer is obvious to those of you who have been, but I've noticed that there always seems to be some sort of sale or special going on.

When do these start? When should I pay attention for new ones to appear? Do they always start at the beginning of the month or do they start at random times?

(And, yes, I've got everything I want on alert, I'm just wondering if it's a bad idea to buy at the end of a month in case a wonderful new special shows up at the beginning of the next month).

For the most part, there's no good way to tell when something's going to go on sale or be a part of a special or promotion. Every Thursday there's the crazy Thursday sale, and that's about the only "consistent" sale that I know of. If you want to buy something with a discount but it's not on sale, you can always do a buyout review on it.

I was wondering about this too... I sign in everyday so I just keep an eye out for the new promotions/sales and purchase when I feel like the time is right.

There doesn't seem to be a way to tell what will be on sale, but I think EF has had a big one for every holiday. July 4th was the most recent, and I'm going to guess the next big one will be Labor Day.

There are always good sales going on. I absolutely love it. It really depends on what holidays are coming up and everything else.

To really know what's going on, though, I'd recommend checking out the Promotions feature to see the different sales.
