I am somewhat new here. I imagine that the same questions are posted over and over. Is it really frowned upon to not look back for similar posts, or just pretty open? THANKS!
Same posts over and over?

While no one is going to flame you in the forums for doing that, we do encourage using the Search function here. You'll see different options toward the top of the forum: "Upcoming Events", "Categories", "Announcements", "Featured Discussions" and then "Forum Search".
The reason why is that if you have a legitimate question or concern, you'll find more information on the topic by doing a search. If it's a question that has been repeated many times, a lot of people get tired of responding to the same thing, so you'll get more replies, reactions, etc by looking up old information.
I've had my questions answered VERY thoroughly many different times just by searching. Hope this helps!
