I wanted to set an alert to tell me when a specific color came back in stock for a product that is available in other colors.

Since it is available in black, but I want it in green, the alert is only letting me be notified when similar products are available, and not when a specific color comes back.

is this a glitch? Have people been able to accomplish this before?

It depends, I know I've been able to set a notification for the return of a specific color before, but I can't remember if all of the colors were out of stock at that point. It's a stupid question, but have you tried selecting the color you want to purchase that's out of stock and then setting the notification from there? That's the only thing I can think of that might make a difference.

That may mean that the particular color is discontinued and therefore not an option for an alert.

Most products that come in different colors have different product codes.

To make sure you pick the right one, make sure you select the right color from the list on the right of the picture on the product page and then set your alert.

I found a different product and it worked for that one. I'm guessing it is discontinued.
