Well I guess I should start with the basics here. I am 31 years old now and my wife is 28. We are just about to hit our 2 year mark. (June 4th) I have ordered a G-spot Vibe for her and som Ooohh! thats it! G-spot gel for her as well along with a few simple romantic items.

But that isn't really the point I guess. What I am after is learning from those with a bit more experience as to what they think would be some good items for beginners. Neither of us are new to sex or anything but we are looking to begin to explore our options and I need your help and advice.

Welcome to Eden! Glad to have you on the Forums!

It sounds like you have some fun stuff on the way already! Usually it's good to start with a toy that can be used both internally and externally. Once you figure out which of those work best, you can look into more specific things in the future.

Some 'Beginner' things that may be good to look into could be:
A blindfold
Some sashes or soft cuffs (not hand cuffs-- ouch!)
Maybe a very stretchy (possibly vibrating) cock ring to try
Sexy panties (or some simple lingerie)
and maybe some different lubes/condoms to play around with

What I recommend is just reading reviews on everything; sometimes toys that LOOK boring end up being awesome, and sometimes things that look neat end up being crap. Also, don't be afraid to message people or ask questions! If you see someone who has a lot of experience in something you need help with, almost all of the experienced reviewers are more than stoked to lend a hand.

It depends on what your lady would prefer. Would she prefer something bigger or smaller? Does she prefer internal or external stimulation? There are many options out there!

Welcome to Eden! There have been some great suggestions already. I would recommend buying less expensive items until you learn what you like, then invest in high quality items.

Welcome to both of you, this site has a very diverse choice of products with great information on each one. It does depend on your both your tastes and what you enjoy.

Starting off I found reading the reviews posted by the members here and comparing the products, something you can do when you see a product posted and click on its icon to view it and click on the little scales icon to "Add to comparison". After selecting similar products you can go to your Comparison link at the top of the page and see the differences between like items.

Another choice would be to click on the Shop tab at top right of page then Reviews to the right to look at specific categories of toys, Dildos, Vibrators, Lingerie, to name a couple and select what interest you most.

You might also be interested in the Safety rating of each product, we all have our favorites and when you select a product to view it You'll see a notation called: Material Safety with a rating number and scale (1 the lowest, 10 the highest. There is also an informational link that will give you more detail on the material specified for the product. Mine by the way are Silicone and Glass, but again, the information is all here for you to find what bests suits your needs as a couple.

There is so much more, but I find these were the most helpful for me. Again, the members here are very descriptive and informative with their reviews and put great time and effort into each one.

I read & read about everything. as I got more familiar w/ the products & their features, I started thinking about what I'd like to experience. then I started experimenting. Yeah we are still in the process of figuring out what it is that works best. We are really new to the concept of using toys. We have one of the bullets, and other then that I see there is massage oils on here and lubes and that about covers it all for us at this point but we will begin to explore and I will definitely refer back to comments people have left here for further ideas. Thank you all for being so welcoming.

When I first came to EF, I did not have much knowledge about toys. I found browsing the products and reading reviews helped me to know more about what was available. There were great products that I had never heard of. When I saw a review of a product I liked, I clicked on the reviewers and saw what else they reviewed. If they liked what I liked there was a good chance we had similar tastes. I found some great products this way.
