Material Safety number

I've done a search and can't seem to find the answer. I apologize if it is obvious and I missed it.

Is there a page on eden fantasys which explains how the safety ratings are decided? I know for each material you can see the details, but I was hoping to just have a better general understanding of what the numbers mean.

I tend to get a bit paranoid about things in my body, but I don't want to miss out on toys because I'm afraid of 6 but not 7 as a rating. Maybe I would want that to be my "cut-of" but I don't really know.

It would be nice to know what general attributes are associated with what number. (ex I know porous materials have lower safety ratings).

Knowing the criteria would help me save time from looking up each material individually.

Good question. I hope there's a page that explains the ratings more specifically too.

It's not on it's own page, but part of one. Safety Index

Scroll down to the safety index, and when you select a material, it will explain how and why it gets a specific number safety rating.

I know that each material has a page. I just wanted to know how the rating system worked in general. The criteria for each number and so forth. But it doesn't look like that exists.

Ooh. ok. They are ranked according to how effectively they can be sterilized. Things that are able to be boiled are ranked 10 and so on.
