Wow, that was fast! I'm totally shocked. I guess only time will tell what will happen here, but I love EF, and am thinking happy thoughts for it.

If I understand things correctly, Fred was the original owner of Eden. If that's true, then I don't foresee a lot of catastrophe coming down the pipes, but it does make me wonder how damaging the move to Atlanta was for Eden's warehouse. I assume when they mention Rufina and Fred stepping down from Liberator that also means they will be resuming their original positions with Eden before the sale took place in January.
I could be wrong, but considering there hasn't been an official announcement from Eden it's mere speculation at this point.

Oh, I love EF! I hope things don't change!

Nothing to worry about folks. It basically just means the merger has been undone. Both EF & Liberator are going back to the way they were previous to the merger.

Interesting...
10/10/2011
Interesting. Here's to hoping there aren't any major changes in the near future!

What makes me all weirded out is that the original deal was for a lot more than the latest one. Is there trouble in paradise?
10/10/2011
So.. is EF moving away from Atlanta again? Or are they staying in Atlanta?
10/10/2011
Oh my this is all so confusing.
10/10/2011
Very interesting. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for sharing the link, very interesting!

Thanks for sharing & to Gary for letting us know what's goin' on. I'm not too worried.

In the future it is possible, but for the time being EF is staying put and still sharing the home base with Liberator.

OH gosh, I almost had a heart attack. I love EF so much
10/10/2011
Thanks for sharing, and thanks for the reassurances Gary. Here's to Fred continuing to do great things with EF!
10/10/2011
Wow.. I just had like 3 mini-heart attacks until I read Gary's post. I'm going to to echo the thought that I hope there aren't any major changes though.

Whew I just discovered Eden a few months ago! I was afraid my new addiction was going away.
10/10/2011
Yay, I feel relieved!
10/10/2011
I guess that means that any hope of Liberator products like Joey being sold on this site are dashed.

Actually the chances are potentially better now. I had a conversation on Twitter a few weeks ago with Liberator about EF carrying more items such as the Esse Chaise and was told that they did not see the benefit of duplicating inventories. However, Liberator may still decide that certain items will still only be available on their own website.

It sounds like the long term business plans for both companies were incompatible, so Liberator released EF. This could be a positive decision for EF since a lot of times when a smaller company gets absorbed by a larger company the ethics and goodwill of the smaller company falls by the wayside. I think this is a good move for Edens, we can remain community oriented and still have potential for the right type of growth for the site. It did not have to compromise its integrity for the larger company. Good job guys!

That's good to hear, especially regarding Joey. That product is already sold on amazon.com, so it seems that Liberator doesn't have a problem with others selling that product at least. I just want to buy it with my points.

You'd figure that a little more market research and corporate alignment would have taken place BEFORE messing with something like this for a mere 8 months. Seems like a lot of wasted efforts and bookwork for the accountants, but may be very beneficial for customers and suppliers.

I was wondering about this, too. Just don't move any more than 2 shipping days away, okay?

Thanks Gary for clarifying because that's a scary thought. Miss Debauchery you're funny b/c it would stink if our shipping times were longer.
10/11/2011
Interesting news. Heehee yea.... shipping times to my part of the world got longer with the move to Atlanta. *shrugs* I don't think they can get much farther away from me while staying in the U.S. at this point, so I'm not too worried

interesting.
