I don't have a lot of storage space so for the most part as soon as I open it and test it, I trash it. Some things with nicer, sturdier boxes I keep though. I recently got a wireless remote egg, tested it out and it worked, went to use it a couple days later and now it doesn't work. Because I don't have the box I can't return it. So was wondering what you do with all your packaging.
How long do you keep your packaging from your toys?

I keep some of the smaller boxes as containers for lube samples and such. I tend to get rid of bigger stuff eventually, but I keep them for too long, thinking I'll need them some day. Flimsy plastic stuff goes out right away.

I tend to keep all of mine, mainly because I only have a few of my toys in regular rotation, and it's easier to store the ones I don't plan on using much if I still have the boxes.

It depends. Some I only keep until I do the review. Nicer packaging, like LELO or Je Joue, I'll keep forever.

I only keep the packaging for my high-end and silicone toys. Everything else gets trashed almost immediately.

This! If it would be worth it to return if it broke (over $20 for me) then I keep the packaging for a few weeks, if not I just toss it!

We throw it out. but the shipping boxes we reuse

I usually keep it until I write a review about it and then chuck it, unless it's really nice.

I keep packaging if I can use it to store the toy. Otherwise it gets thrown.

I keep it for the review unless it was falling apart upon arrival.

If it makes good storage and doesn't take up a lot of room, I'll keep packaging. If it gives me trouble, like anything at all from Tantus, I'll toss it ASAP.

Most of it I end up tossing/recycling but some are okay for storage so I keep those. I plan on making my own storage bags for each toy so I can trash every package and keep them all together in my new toy box (still working on it).

It depends on the toy

Most of it I throw away right away. If it's suitable for long term storage, I keep it.

I take pictures of the packaging immediately upon arrival and then I toss it. I've kept a few Jopen boxes to store some other items in but other than that I just don't have the space to store boxes of 150 toys, lubes, arousal gels etc.

Depends on the packaging.

I open my stuff as soon as it gets here and trow out the all the packaging.

I keep the box if it's a vibe that could get broken (for the return). For others I've just tossed them. Except for the nice ones, like the sturdy box for the Pure Wand.

I keep boxes for nice toys that are suitable for storage, everything else I keep long enough to test the product out and write the review then it gets tossed.

unless its really pretty, like the bottle rocket one, i throw it away
08/28/2012
If it's really nice packaging like Lelo products I keep them for good, otherwise usually it gets tossed away pretty quickly.

It depends on the quality of the packaging. I threw away the plastic box one of my Doc Johnson vibes came in after I finished my review, but I kept the box my Evolved Bliss came in for two years.

I try to keep it for as long as it holds up. Then if it does not I throw it out.

sometimes i toss and sometimes i keep, depends on the product.

I keep the boxes for my metal toys, that way I can store those toys in their boxes and not worry about dropping them on a glass toy or something because I forgot what was in a pouch. It doesn't hurt that my metal stuff happened to come with fantastic packaging -- Njoy toys, Jimmyjane Little Steel, the Tantus Alumina line, etc.
All other packaging gets disposed of whenever I have a clear shot at recycling stuff without risk of anyone noticing. So basically, packaging sometimes has to wait until nobody's home on garbage day, but otherwise gets moved out as soon as possible. My goal is to keep the toy collection as compact as possible for hiding purposes. Having extra bulky packaging around isn't helpful toward that goal.

Some of the really nice boxes I save and then I throw the rest in the garage for a while and then they usually make it out in the recycling.

I would like to keep more of the packaging but space just doesn't allow. I have my evolved tin, boxes for Sinfonia, Harmonia, and a few others like that currently.
08/28/2012
I keep the really nice boxes.
08/28/2012
I reuse the boxes.

Within a few days I know if I need it or not (for returns), then it's gone
