I really want the We Vibe 3, but its out of stock! Should I use the holiday sale to buy a bunch of little things I've wanted at a discount, or hold on to my card and buy the WV3 at full price when its back in stock?
Holiday sale and what I want is out of stock!!!

I would do a support ticket and ask when they'll be getting it back in stock. Sometimes I've seen stuff come back in a day or two later.

Well that was a quick decision!
My usual gameplan when that happens (or with big sales in general, really) is to get little things that I've been wanting. Because once you're an advanced reviewer (if you're not, submit a class request in the mentor program! You get a little friendly insight, and you can graduate after doing 2 reviews with your chosen mentor.) You can have 30% off an item at any time, in exchange for revirewing it within 3 weeks. So I like the sales for getting lots of low-cost items, like books and nipple clamps, that I've been wanting, but don't want to be on a time-crunch to review them. Then do a buy-out on your big item later when it's in stock.
(PS---the WV3 is awesome.)

I'm actually an Ambassador Blogger (romanscandal.com) so would it be a conflict to become an advanced reviewer too? They've cut back on the blog program a bit so I was hoping to do more on-site reviews, but wasn't sure if it would be a conflict (I admit I find navigating the programs semi confusing, though I do wish to be more involved!)

Here is information on the ambassador program which contains links of who to email about that and here is information on the review program guidelines which you need to know to do reviews on site.
I'd contact either the partners email on the review guidelines or the ambassador email on the ambassador guidelines and ask them!

save your card but that stinks :/
I bought something when it was "in stock" with my card and they said it's actually out of stock (njoy wand). Now it's back in stock and they still haven't shipped mine and still says it's out of stock on my order status. What's up with that?!

(Also, I'm not sure specifically how the blog program interacts with the onsite advanced reviewer program (never really researched, as I don't have a blog), but I know a bunch of advanced reviewers *also* have blogs where they do reviews. Checking with those threads or emails is a good plan. )

I would save your cards for what you've really been wanting.

Well, the Liberator was one of the "big ticket items it would be nice to get on sale" that came back into stock, and I also picked up the Nea which I've been curious about, so I saved a bundle and don't regret! I definitely will aim to purchase the WV3 next, though!

MIght be worth it to get other things during the sale, if you need them.

Oh, I don't "NEED" anything, I just WANT everything . It's only worth it if it's a big ticket item over $50 for this sale, since I can get the 15% off at any time with my affiliate code.

the most wanted toys always go ou of stock during the big sales. you have to be fast when they happen, to get the toys you have been saving up for and drooling over.

I'd tend to use the sale if there are other things you want and save again for when the We-vibe 3 comes back.
I had hoped my vibe 3 package would arrive yesterday so I had it over christmas, but no such luck. What a painful weekend it will be - so cruel...lol.

save your cards
12/23/2011
I generally buy my wish list in the order that things go on sale. So when a sale comes out, I buy the items on my wish list that happen to be included in that sale. When there's a coupon code, I buy the items on my wish list that I know rarely have a "regular" sale placed on them. I also will pick up "most wanted" items that I'm too impatient to wait for a rotating sale on. By doing this, I rarely have to use the buyout option. So that's my strategy.

Just to answer your question: Yes, it is a conflict to become an advanced reviewer as well. You can only be in one program or another. Feel free to participate on-site like you have been (through the forum and other on-site things), but you can't be receiving free items under both the on-site program and ambassador program.

Yeah, I figured this out by doing some research. It's a bit of a bummer since I'm only allowed to blog once only three weeks now, but I'm too attached to the blogger program to switch over. And I am enjoying participating at my current level, so it's no biggie!

If anything, this thread has reminded me that I suck at saving- there's always something I want *now*. But I get a decent sized GC every three weeks as a Ambassador blogger, so hopefully by the time I get my next card the WV3 will be back in stock!
