Hey, so I'm new here, and the first thing I noticed was that the site seems very cluttered. I know plenty of you have been around a while and have gotten used to the layout and how to find things, but for a new-comer, it's a bit off putting. Honestly, I completely discounted the site the first time I stumbled across it, but I found that I kept coming back here because of the wealth of information in all the reviews.
The process of signing up for a reviewer account has been... interesting. The FAQs are helpful enough, but they would be much improved by adding links to the relevant pages, for example, a link to the sign up page for the mentoring program. And like RexyRN said, there are other tweaks that could be done to the mentor process itself. I find that I have to keep asking my mentor how to do things, which is nice enough as a get-to-know you sort of thing, but it would be even nicer if I could just figure things out on my own.
Another beef I have with the site design is the tagging system for products. Does anyone find it useful? On the page of any well reviewed product, you end up with every single tag being listed. So one product will have the tags "only for use on a bed," "for use anywhere," and for use by "everyone," and "anyone." Everyone and Anyone are separate tags? Seriously? Does this make sense to anyone?
Phew. Okay. Rant over. I really like all the reviews on here, I just wish it was easier to navigate the site, and that the layout was a bit more coherent.
