Do you set alerts?

Do you set alerts on products, contributors, and discussions on the site?

I find myself clicking alerts constantly, and I love getting a whole lot of EF mail to check. Usually I hate getting alerts from forums, and turn them off, but for some reason, having a lot to look at for EF is really fun.

I particularly like the format the discussion alerts comes in, so that I can read the updates in my email and decide whether to respond without ever having to click through to the site. I wish "new comments" on profiles was set up that way too.

I think the "alert me when the product's back in stock" alert is amazingly useful.

I set alerts on things like out-of-stock products or products I intend to buy, and/or great contributors or myself, and/or on particularly interesting discussions that I don't want to miss.

Most of the time I only set alerts for new reviews by various contributors. Sometimes I set them on threads, they are usually started by me and have to do with work shops or clubs.

I set alerts on all of my own posts, as well on if I asked a specific question or was very interested in someone elses forum posts. I usually only use product alerts for out of stock things, but a few I have review alerts on if they're new. I don't have any contributors on e-mail alert.

I use them mainly for out-of-stock products that I am waiting to come in stock, but also for my wall and occasionally for a discussion I want to track over multiple days.

My alerts are usually in the Forums. The one or two alerts in the shop are for items that I REALLY need/want. The Ran for example over Spring Festival was always out of stock, so I alerted it. Or my favourite lube.

Still new to this site so I'm learning to navigate and find information. I've set alerts for out of stock items and for a few contributors' reviews. It's been very helpful so far.

I may be missing something, but exactly WHERE do you set an ALERT for an out-of-stock product?

Go to the product page. Under the price there is a cart to buy thr product, then another cart saying gift this, then the scales saying add to comparison, then the box with the bow saying wishlist and under that is a bell set product alert. Click there and then click on what you want, back in stock, similar product, new review. See if that works. Sometimes your browser dislpays the pages differently than mine. Good luck!
