DHL?

I keep seeing DHL still listed as a shipping option but I thought they are supposed to cease US operation on Friday. I just didn't know if this was going to be a problem for the orders being placed to be shipped by DHL.

Woah woah woah, are you serious? I order movies from India all the time, and they can only ship DHL. I'll cry if I can't order Bollywood movies anymore. =(

link That is one link I found. The DHL guy that delivered my EF package last week told me that they were closing on the 30th.

It looks like they'll still be shipping to the US from overseas and from the US to overseas, just not within the US.

A shame. We've used DHL many times to ship very large packages for a tiny fraction of what it costs to do so USPS or UPS.

So I what happens if you choose DHL as a shipping option after Friday?

I would assume that they'd be a good business and finish up any orders that were placed prior to them closing. If they were definitively closed on the 30th, you wouldn't get that option anymore.

I have had to ship my bicycle cross-country (after riding it cross-country the other direction). DHL was SO MUCH CHEAPER than everything else.

I never realized people actually USE DHL. I was just tracking a package on the UPs site the other day and they had a little thing about helping DHL customers switch over but I'm not sure what will happen with EF.

That's a bummer - I really liked using them for deliveries. So much more reliable than UPS.

I spoke to our Shipping Manager and found out that DHL will no longer be accepting domestic shipments in the United States as of Friday 1/30/09. Eden Fantasys will still offer two great shipping options with both UPS and USPS available to everyone.
