I'm around a small to medium, sometimes even a large, but I'm also losing weight, so probably just a small.
Dear Friends, What lingerie size are you?
07/21/2010
It depends on the manufacturer. I LOVE lingerie, but it is so hard to buy over the internet.
I have a bubble butt, (about 38 inches around) about an eight inch difference with my waist (depending on the time of the month) and a 36-38 C bust, so anything from a medium to a large usually fits, but sometimes things run too large or too small, and then I'm unhappy. But, I'm also petite (barely 5 feet tall) and my body APPEARS small (except my T&A, which seem to POP out from such a small frame) so people always assume I wear a small, and I just don't.
I wear regular "one size fits most stockings" and I buy a LOT of them. I don't like "stay up" stockings, but ones which you use with a garter belt. "Stay Up" stockings are uncomfortable, leave a mark, and often make using a garter belt difficult or impossible, because of the silicone strip around the thigh. I also don't care for stockings that are "unfinished" at the tops. A nice wide band around the thigh, or a well made elastic lace is perfect.
Bras are the hardest thing to fit, because everyone has different size and shape breasts and also different "set" meaning how they are placed on your chest. A 36C with close together and long breast will not fit in the same bra as a 36C who has farther set, more rounded breasts. There's a whole art to fitting bras, and it's so hard to buy them, or even bra top negligees without trying them on.

I voted for XS and S and I'm not sure what size I would need. I'm a 34A and it seems like none of the 'one size fits all' would even attempt to fit me!

I am a large maybe XL.
I would like to go out on a limb and say that there needs to be more stuff for the guys. The one see through G-string I did buy I could not even get on!

Sizes are a struggle for me to because, I am 4'11 and 36C and depending on some clothes I have to go down to a kids 16 and between 0-1 in juniors.

I had to vote. I'd like to see lingerie on real sized women. I usually wear a 18-20 in jeans, with a 40D cup size. Yeah, everybody's tailored different, I'm just scared to get one of the lingeries with such limited sizing and on the manequins they look so much smaller.

I understand where you're coming from Blinker, I am not equally sized top and bottom. And regular clothing, when at a mall.. or something.. cause say a size "16" underneath or something, but... really it isn't. It's not for me.. BLAH..

34A plus curvy hips means that I rarely find anything that fits right, because my chest is a small and my ass is a medium or larger, depending on the brand. I look at the size chart and try to match my bust, but usually that means it will be too tight and unflattering in the hips. I have the most success with corsets a matching "one size fits most" g-string and thigh highs, or matching separates like a bra, panties, thigh highs, and a garter belt that I can order in different sizes. That, or one of those "baby doll" outfits that is tight in the bust and loose on the waist.
Honestly, if my size options for lingerie are small, medium, large, etc., I probably won't buy it unless it looks like it's definitely going to fit based on the style/stretchiness, or if I can try it on. The stuff that comes in a plastic package with vague sizing always ends up expecting my boobs to be huge, so I don't waste my money on it anymore. Years ago when I was a little skinner, I got a Leg Avenue set of bra, panties, and garter belt in a small, and the bottoms fit fine but the top expected at least a B cup, regardless of what the size chart said. I'd rather pay more for something that fits properly.

I would love some mix and match items! I use that feature when buying swimsuits alot since I have an hourglass figure (it's a bit out of shape still but getting back after giving birth) and it's hard to fit my waist. I'm also only 5 foot so some petite sizing would be major appreciated! I am a petite L to XL which is super hard to find in any make of clothing let alone lingerie. It's so good to see a manufacturer asking "real women" of all shapes and sizes what would work for them...maybe it'll start a trend!

Anyway, you're totally right about most of the manufacturers having some crazy sizing issues. On the other end of the scale, I've found that they tend to make outfits to fit a 100-pound size 2 woman, but they have like 34D tops (EVEN WHEN the size charts say 32-34 A/B). That's not a size combo that happens often in nature, so I sometimes wonder if they're assuming that all smaller women have boob jobs. Either that or they don't do much market research regarding the realistic proportions of a woman, because I see on here where several people are saying they need a different size top from bottom.
What would be awesome would be to find manufacturers who offer their outfits as mix & match separates. Obviously it wouldn't work for 1-piece items, but for sets it would sure be useful! less

My rants about lingerie:
"Tiny women aren't real women"
Id just like to add that Size 0 women are as much women as size 24 women.. (I picked 24 because my BFF is a size 24)
The both of us are real women. The both of us are capable of making children, having children and breastfeeding children with our real breasts. The both of us deserve sexy lingerie.
Neither of us can find much lingerie that fits!
"They size lingerie for stick models"
Just because society believes that lingerie models are a sized 0 don't assume that lingerie is even remotely made to fit a size 0. In America, agency quality lingerie models are a size 4 or 6 and are 5'8 and taller. Adult lingerie tends to be a size 6 or 8 and larger in the boobs than most agency models. It is not made to fit agency fashion models which are typically sized 2-4... Therefore, lingerie is NOT sized for 'models' it is sized for small curvy women.
For some that may all seem small, but a size 6 is a whole lot different than a size 0.
/end rant
Now, if we could just find more makers that think outside the size 4-8 range (under and over) Id be happy.

Thank you for the rant, as a not terribly busty woman I've had exactly this issue. One of my ex-girlfriends was a size 14-16 and big women, and tiny women are all real women just as much as smallish but not that small women.

Ok, I voted Other, simply because I have a difficult time pinpointing an exact size. I have everything from S to XL in my closet and the same is true for my intimates... I'm almost 5'9, and a size 10 through the waist, but my thighs are a little bit curvier than most size 10 women, as I'm athletic and have more muscle in my legs, both thighs and calves. I'm also naturally a size 40D. A good amount of the time, I wind up either going up a size in order to customize my clothes to fit over the twins yet not look like a tent over my stomach, or can't wear size 10 jeans or pants unless they have some level of stretch to them so they will fit over my thighs yet still have a good fit through the waist rather than pucker.
With lingerie, I'm usually a medium as lingerie usually has more give to it then regular clothes. I don't do flannel or PJs, I'm a satin, silk and lace nightgown type of girl ALL the way... but if I want something really sexy and skintight, I can never find anything that fits me right as I'm a contradiction in my measurements. I'm a ten through the waist, probably closer to a 12 through the thighs, then a 40D in the chest.
I think the most important thing for me is lingerie based on not only S, M, L, or XL, but cup size as well as those are usually easier for me to determine whether or not they will fit properly. less

I don't have much in the way of lingerie, but I'd say mostly small.
09/29/2010
I wear a size small..maybe the size chart will help you?
10/13/2010
Eden Fantasy has a sizing chart.
10/15/2010
Usually the thing that determines what size I get is the bust size. I'm a bit abnormally top-heavy for my body type, so the extra room so I don't pop out matters.
10/15/2010
I'm usually a medium but I'm pretty much in between medium and small.
10/30/2010
I'm a big girl with big breasts and hips, so usually a XL/1X.

I voted XSmall and Small, because like a lot of you already mentioned, it depends on the brand and the item. I think this is a great poll and I was very interested to see the pretty even spread across the board
11/29/2010
I fit in size medium or large, depending on the brand. I know I would absolutely love it if you could mix and match tops and bottoms. Like, if a girl has a larger bottom than top, she could pick the right sizes for each. That, and be able to pick panties other than a thong would be awesome.
