Is there a way to check your gift card and gift code balances besides entering them in the checkout area? Entering them there just makes me nervous about losing them. Sometimes after I use a gift card or code I forget to erase the number from my computer or throw away the card and I'd love a way to double check my codes and see what I've got left.
A place to check gift card balances?

Account, then gift cards.

Click "account" on the top-left part of your screen. There is a link to your gift cards on the left under the list of services.

Checking from your account works on gift cards that were earned on your account like from graduating a student or cashing in your points. As of right now I don't think there's another way to check other than entering them at checkout. What I do is just wait until I'm actually placing an order so that if there actually is something on the card I don't accidentally lose it by not placing an order in a short time span.

When I get GFs from a video or a contest, I immediately enter it into a Word file on my computer. The amount of the gift card, the date and what it was for.
When I cash them in, I highlight them and turn the text red. Then, I remove them when the order arrives from the file.
Any points will be saved on your dashboard. But, I still save any unused points left over from an order on my Word file. I might forget a few dollars if I didn't save it on a Word file.

I knew about going to account then gift cards for ones earned on the site. I was referring to actual physical cards and gift cards won on blogs and twitter. I guess I'll just have to keep better track of it all from now on. Thanks everyone.

I forget who made the suggestion to me, but I now save any GC emailed to me in a special folder so when the time comes to place an order they are all in the same place. As for physical GCs, if you have a desktop computer, put them in an envelope and tape it to the side of the CPU. Next time you place an order all you have to do is reach over and grab them.

That's actually what I do lol. I don't do anything special to keep track of the remaining balance, but I imagine you could also email yourself the code again with the new balance written down in there.
