I have had this idea of something I wanted to write for Sexis for about a month now. The problem I'm having is that it may be too personal for me to want to bring out into the public. It's just a very hard thing for me to write about and something i barely ever talk about to anyone. The thing is though, I've seem to have gotten some form of closure on writing about certain dark areas of my life and feel that I may get some from just pushing this out for the Ef & Sexis community to read. I'm just so damn unsure about it. What do you all seriously think, should I just do it and get it out there, or close that door forever. I know I'm being vague and I appologize. Just let me know what you think.

I think EF is the best place to do this kind of thing because it is anonymous and everyone is so understanding.

There's always the option of emailing it to me (rayne@edenfantasys.co m) to be published anonymously via the SexIs Editors account. However, now you might want to wait if that's the way you decide to go so everyone won't know it's you.

Even if you don't post it, write it out. Writing can be VERY cathartic.

I agree with this. Posting your history for all the world to see may be too much, but no matter what you should write it out. Writing out experiences really helps heal from them. When you're done you can decide if it's something you want to publish or not.

That's a really good idea. I've done that in the past too... written letters and so forth that I never mailed. It helps to get all of that out of you.

Then, later you can always go back and decide if you want to publish it or not.
Best wishes!!

IMO - write it out. Give it a week or so. Edit out the rough spots - and let it sit again. Then after about 2-3 weeks make your decision. Maybe all you need is to write it out for yourself to help you sort through the issues.
But maybe you feel that hearing from the community will help you find closure.
There is also the chance that you can help other by forewarning of something to avoid.
What ever you decide - best of luck to you.

I also agree with this. Write it out for yourself, even if you decide against posting it. It'll help.

Also, I just wanted to say I know exactly how you feel. There have been a few things I've almost posted, and then got too nervous about having it out there in the ether. That's a big part of why I haven't published any reviews yet, but I'm working my way up to it.
If you ever need someone to be a sounding board, feel free to send me a PM.

I say go for it babes it will probably help you let it out so you can move on. might get some judgement from it but so what as long as you are okay with it all you can move on past it. can't speak for others but I will not be rude whatsoever I am so unperfect it isn't funny

So am I , and that's okay. I have written a large chuck of it. It just comes out in sections and I'm trying to piece it all together so it makes sense. It deals with a ton of diffrent people, so I'm tghinking of doing them one person at a time, kinda like a story. It's unbelievably hard as shit though. It's not that it's...yeah, it's just fucked up. I'm gonna sit on it for a bit and start work on a few other things.

It sounds like this "thing" has been plaguing you for a while so get it out of you dude. Freedom is a wonderful thing especially when it's freedom within oneself. Free your mind, body, and soul.

I would write it out either way, but not post it until you're sure you want it out there.
12/25/2012
I think you should wait until you're sure you want to post it, but my curiosity wants to hear about it. It might help others work through a similar situation too.

Keep working on it until it would make a good article. By the time you're finished, you'll probably feel better. That's happened with me. Do some internet searches to see if other people have posted about similar things and maybe their experience will help you. That's also happened with me. If nobody else has posted about it, you'd probably be helping somebody else by posting it, so I'd probably post it, anonymously if you're worried about how it'll be received.

It can be tough exposing so much personal info, I know I am always sensitive when writing. Do what feels right, and if you feel like you should write it then go for it.
12/31/2012
I feel like you have to be for sure if it is the right time to tell something. And you have to be at least 100%
01/03/2013
Do what feels good to you. Maybe people could help, but you need to be sure that's what you want to do.

I say publish it under your regular name.

I agree. Write it out and that alone will be very therapeutic. And once it's written you can make a better educated decision on whether or not you feel comfortable with others reading it.

In my experience, writing and making a creative product of your experiences is incredibly rewarding. Whether or not you publish is up to you, but really, others would benefit from hearing it.
